For anyone who prefers darker flavors of chocolate and things, this probably isn't for you. But I like it. It would probably appeal to kids, too. It doesn't exactly taste like a real strawberry- more like strawberry ice cream. I love Carnation Instant Breakfast for snacks and days when I have no time for breakfast. It gives me vitamins and minerals, blends perfectly into milk (no blender needed), and fills me up for awhile.

I got this for my 2.5 year old who is very picky and refuses breakfast most days. He would at least get vitamins and protein,. However the strawberry has red dyes in it which he is sensitive to and tweaks him out. Also this stuff is in my opinion expensive anywhere you get it at.
I'm surprised by the reviewer who stated that this has red dyes in it. Yes, it is pink but not from artificial dyes (ie. red #40) which I do not allow in our home. I purchase the strawberry and chocolate for our picky toddler BECAUSE it is naturally colored. I avoided it for a long time because everything from fruit snacks to candy contain that nasty red #40. I was really surprised and impressed to find this product does not. Read the label before you write a negative review.
I drink Carnation to get me started in the morning. It's healthy, tasty and quick. Fits into my busy schedule and my dietary needs. I'm partial to strawberry in the morning, so strawberry Carnation is just right.
After going thru chemo I didn't have much of an appetite. So I started drinking Nestle's Instant Carnation Breakfast Drinks. They gave me the needed nutritional values my body needed, they taste great, easy to mix (powder packs) and the price is reasonable.
