I have long, thick straight hair and do not always blow dry it. This dryer does a good job at getting the dampness out in just a few minutes. A bit noisier than my previous dryer (different brand), but since it is only on for a few minutes, I can deal with it.

I haven't owned many hair driers, they kept blowing out my fuses, so after the electrical wiring was finally updated in my building I asked for recommendations of affordable hair dryers and got this one. Light-weight is extremely important to me, I hate blowdrying as it is, so the lighter the better and this one fits the bill. Very manageable. But I didn't want to sacrifice quality and this is powerful enough for what i need. It's not really quite, but definitely not super loud. The price is amazing, do not hesitate to get this dryer if you want one at a good price. I don't know if the ION thing makes a difference, I don't have a ton of blowdryer experience to compare it to.

I've had this dryer for over a year now, and I still think it's wonderful. It's not too loud, and it's got enough umph! to dry my short, thick/wavy hair in about 5 minutes. The only downside is that the dryer attachment has melted a bit (still works fine). It might be because of the plastic barrel brush I use, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Well, I usually air dry my hair and was hoping to get a hair dryer that didn't fry my hair out. I have wavy hair and used it with the diffuser--it totally made my hair frizzy and dried out. I even used products specifically for hair drying. Ultimately I was completely unsatisfied.
