I have tried so many things. Nothing ever worked. In fact most made it worse. This is the only thing that works. You put the disk on the sore before you go to sleep. In the AM you throw away any remains. The duration is cut to a third and pain phase is essentially removed.

If you suffer from canker sores, you owe it to yourself to try these. You do have to hold them in place for a minute to get them to stick (as they soften they'll stick even better). And they often end up sticking to teeth (so if it's near the front teeth I only use them at bedtime). In spite of these drawbacks, they heal canker sores without any sting or awful taste (just a hint of licorice flavor) and faster than anything else I've ever tried. I always make sure I have an extra box on hand because I want to make sure that I never run out of these.

Great product. When used at first sign it def. shortens the healing time. Great pain relief. If the sore is too close to the lips they don't stay in place well. Considering there is nothing else even close this is a lifesaver product for us. My husband has frequent outbreaks, sometimes 4-6 at once. Using cankermelts allows him to eat and drink normally. Without them it seriously affects his ability to eat and drink well. He also doesn't have to keep running to the dentist for dental grade lidocaine..it kills the pain but does nothing for healing.

I was willing to spend the money if the product worked. It was not what I had expected. It was very hard to use since the discs were too large. In addition, I did not want to leave them on overnight for fear of tooth decay, leaving them on during the day would make it difficult to eat or drink.

I use this as soon as I feel a canker sore forming and it really helps. It keeps the sore from becoming unbearably painful. Doesn't always stick that well, so you need to hold it in place for a few minutes.

When I saw this product advertised, I thought, oh great, finally something that will take a canker sore away that,s been driving me crazy. It might work but I felt like I had a piece of paper stuck to underside of my l ip. I was constantly swallowing (and you,re supposed to leave it on for about six hours!). When I said, it might work- maybe it is actually meant to use on the gums. It just didnt do it for me.

These are soothing and provide some relief. However, they are difficult to make stay in place- and sometimes you need to reapply or just hold in in place with your tounge. They do provide some relief, though. I have used other brands that stuck better- but these taste better.

The only bad thing about this product - it would not stay in place, and you keep struggling holding it. But i would give anything just to get rid of a terrible denture sore after living a week in pain and tears every time i have to put this denture on in the morning, and every time i have to eat. After this stained teeth mean NOTHING!

Hands down the best canker sore product I have ever used, and the only one I have ever found that is more than simple pain relief. Cankermelts actually reduce the length of the sore. In my opinion the packaging oversells the pain relief. But that's secondary if you can actually knock the sore out. The only problem I've had with this product is getting it to stay in place. If the sore is under - or on - my tongue, there's no way I can get the melt to the right place and have it stay there. Same thing if the sore is on the inside of my cheek, etc. They're not terribly comfortable either when you need to talk or eat. It can be done, but like another reviewer I tend to use them most overnight, which I am sure reduces their effectiveness. These work best - they work great - for sores caught right away (less than 24 hours) inside the lower lip. I can knock out about 80% of this type of sore w/in a couple of days using two or three applications of this product, worn primarily overnight.
