Every word in the Product Description is true. The hold and ease of use blows trimming wafers and disgusting glue right out of the water! I gave it a 4 week trial before I wrote this and all I can say is that I can eat, chew, bite and suck through straws again, in public, comfortably and confidently. Wet the inside of Denture, sprinkle on the powder and tap it around coating the entire inside surface, then shake or tap out any excess, put your denture/s in and press. You're good to go all day--during which you can use mouthwash and/or brush mildly if you need to. Removing dentures requires a sea-saw motion, the powder has turned into a gel and easily removed with a dry paper towel or rinsing with warm water. For me its seems better than flinging a slimy, food stained sea-bond wafer in the trash that could be discovered or cleaning off all that leaky paste--and they don't even hold as well!

I use this every day. Holds better than most and much better than the gel kind. I wouldn't use anything else.

I started wearing dentures when I was 53. When I had them realligned and fitted well, they would not stay in by themselves because of my eroded gum tissue. My denturist recommended that I use adhesive cream. UGH!!!!! Cream OOZES!!!! If you use too little, your dentures will not have a snug enough fit. If you use too much, or even a small amount, there is ooze that seeps out and into your mouth and over the tops of the denture and onto the teeth. If you smile, people can see the ooze and you won't even know. Powder does not do that. My dentures stay put, and I don't have to worry anymore about ooze. Recently, I moved to Harrison, Arkansas and discovered that denture powder is not available here. I am thankful that that I have the option to order it online from drugstore.com. Anyway, I hope this helps someone with a similar dilemma. I just ordered 2 boxes of Fixodent powder to stock up on.
