I was disappointed with this product for a couple different reasons. First of all, the product is very small. Also, I thought the product was double sided. I guess I didn't see the picture clearly enough. There is only one tube split into two facets with an "exfolient" and balm. I put quotes around the term exfolient because it didn't seem any different than the balm section. With a product that small, splitting into two sections is very difficult to use and ineffective. I don't see the need for a mirror either. You're not putting on lipstick, it's a clear balm! They should remove the mirror and instead create a larger size product that is more effective.

This is great! I've looked for a long time for a solid lip exfoliator that would work this well! The sugar side does its job, smoothing away flakes and revealing the healthy new skin underneath. The balm side does well to keep lips smooth for longer until another round with the exfoliator is needed. Totally worth it!

This product is just okay. I liked the idea of the exfoiliator side, but my concern was that the two sides would not wear evenly - and, indeed, they don't. This isn't really an everyday use type of product. I prefer Aveeno's lip care products.

I really like this. It exfoliates well and makes my lips smooth. At first, I was concerned that it might actually break off while I was exfoliating, or that it wouldn't last long because of the pressure I had to put on it to exfoliate, but it holds up well and is very "scrubby." It is lasting a lot longer than other lipstick style lip exfoliators that I have used in the past. The lip balm is great and has a nice taste and smell and is very soothing. However, I agree with the person that said the two sides should be separate. I haven't had any trouble with the two sides separating, but I can see where it could. Also, I tend to use one side more than the other so one part will run out way before the other. Overall, this product is very effective and works the way it's supposed to and I would definitely buy it again.

I wanted to like this product more. The exfoliant side works well and the balm side mosturizes. It comes in cute packaging too. However, you could save your money and make your own sugar scrub (honey and sugar) and use your own vitamin E stick or regular chapstick. The cheap way may even work better because its delicious and more moisturizing. Maybe this product is good if you want to take it on a trip.

[...] I couldn't resist getting this. I bite my lips alot and as a result they are very dry and flaky which looks even worse on me because I have fairly big lips. Honestly the sugar scrub didn't even feel like it was working. I found it work best if I scrubbed, and then put a damp washcloth after,and then the balm but who has time for that? The balm on the other hand is great. I HATE the look of super glossy lips, but this lip balm feels good and has a light shine. I'm not exactly sure of it's staying power though. I'd say you're lips have to be in okay condition if you're going to use this.

Tarte, thank you for making this lip therapy. The sugar side is awesome for exfoliation and taste so good too. Balm side goes on nice and buttery, and I like the fact that it has no added fragrance. I use this before bed (that little mirror makes it so easy) and in the morning my lips are nice and smooth, hydrated and yes sometimes still glossy. So far it's the only lip therapy product I've used that gets the job done. I do wish that the balm side was a bit thicker; I'm always left with a scrubby side and no balm.
