I am a product junkie lately and love coconut (beachy) type smells with good ingredients. I also have sensitive face skin so I gotta be careful with what I even put on my body as it will and does come in contact with the face from hands. The smell is what everyone says it's powerful. Yeah it may even be a little offending and personally thought it was kinda ethnic BUT with that said the lotion itself is really really good. It's so good I came back to buy a second bottle because nothing heals my skin as good as this. I have the worse dry skin I have literally ever seen (I'm white) and this not only heals it quickly but for some reason makes my skin radiate as if I have a tan. I mainly use it for my hands and feet, knees and shoulders. I swear your gonna love this stuff even if the smell is a powerful coconut smell it dies down fairly quickly.

I get so many compliments on how nice it smells! I love that it is organic and it moisturizes my skin well. Absorbs well, no stains or marks on clothes after applying - and I dress quickly.

I love the fact that this lotion is full of real, non-synthetic ingredients. However, it's sweet smell is more like candy or Bavarian creme than coconut. But, who knows? Maybe that's just because I'm used to fake coconut smells. It does a pretty nice job keeping my skin soft and doesn't leave a greasy residue.

I tried the dessert essence coconut hair defrizzer and it was a total miss. Once again this does not smell like coconut but rather sour milk and overly sweet pineapple! So misleading. What a total waste of money between the two products purchased!

This is great! It is the right size for my swim bag, I put it on after practice. My skin in re-moisturized after the pool chemicals deplete it. That stays all day and it smells great! I get compliments on it in the locker room. Plus, all natural ingredients means no toxicity. I love this and will order it again!

I really discovered Desert Essence products last year, and wow! they are awesome!!! I got the Tropical Coconut lotion first--it smells slightly fruitier than this, a little more like a pina colada, but not in a cloying way. This is more of a true coconut smell, and it ACUTALLY HAS COCONUT OIL IN IT. Unlike Shikai's Coconut lotion which only has natural coconut fragrance in it. I have to say, I am a natural product junkie, and D.E.'s products are the real deal. I hate it when a so-called natural product disappoints you when you read the ingredients list, or smells weird, or doesn't have clearly maked packaging for recycling. Their products are the OPPOSITE of all those things. :) I'm a customer for life!!!!!!

It smells not so pure.There is mixed lemon sense.I'd like KIEHL'S coconut shampoo's flavor.That's more pure,more sweet.

This product smells so good. I use it or another Dessert Essence lotion daily to moisturize and prevent dry skin.

The lotion provides relief to my dry skin during the winter months. However, I need to apply it at night so that I don't smell like a pina colada during the day.

I love to use coconut oil on my skin, so I thought I'd try this coconut moisturizer. First problem, I could smell the scent before I unwrapped it from the air-tight packaging...Things got worse from there. Coconut oil is about the 10th ingredient. I smeared some on my hand and practically passed out from the heavy hooker perfume. I washed my hand after heaving the offending tube into the garbage [...], but am getting a headache. It's going to take some time to get the stink off of me and out of my living room. Suggest you pass on this one!
