The hangers were not plentiful in local stores, ordered these. Instructions say not to use additional hooks for more than 5 pounds......we did and they seem to be working great. Expect that is on the instructions to remove maker's liability.

In our new house we used these to hang all of our pictures, since we didn't want to put nails in the walls. They work great, but we had two problems which turned me off: (a) the instructions advise you clean the wall with alcohol before putting up these hooks. Alcohol slightly discolored the paint, eliminating the benefit of not marking our walls. (b) we had a couple of hooks release and drop pictures on the floor (well within the weight limits of the hooks), smashing glass all over.

In short -- if you use these, they can work well, but don't use them on pictures you value.

Before I moved from my last home, after removing my hanging pictures, I spent time I really couldn't spare, with the spackling and touch-up painting of the nail holes. I decided to give the 3M Command hooks a try once I moved into my new home, I really couldn't see pounding all those nails into those pristine walls!
The variety of 3M Command products provided what I needed to hang my many various pieces. As usual, I needed to tweak my picture placement when hanging collections, and this product gave me the flexibility to move and rehang, without putting another hole in the wall.

I have used several other Command products and been thrilled. These just happened to be the ones I tried to apply to textured walls. They didn't grip at all. Works great on standard and smooth walls!
