This little fountain is easy to set up, has a super Quiet motor. The lights under the leaves really add to the water fall effect. I have it in my family room on an end table,and you can clearly hear the water. It has a setting to adjust the flow of water . I have mine set in the middle, for a medium flow of water. THIS FOUNTAIN DOESN'T SPLASH ON SURFACES.......I just love the fountain very much[...]

I am very happy with this fountain. Mine is not noisy at all, you have to follow the instructions and keep enough water in it. I use mine outside on the deck, and it's so pretty at night when the light is on. Although it's small and very portable, I'm thinking of getting another on for the bedroom. I could definitely fall asleep listening to the water fall!

I have this in my bedroom. It sits by itself on a small planter type table. As mentioned, the motor can be quite noisy but I notice this only when the water level needs topping off. If you put the water in while it is running, make sure to just flip the switch off and then right back on. This cures the problem 100% and is not a big deal. I really like the lighting and how it flickers and adds just the right amount of night lighting. I did fill the entire bottom section with river stones to improve it's look and will definitely be buying another one for my living room.

The motor is too noisy. Very disapointing.

This fountain has a few pros and a few cons: Get it for the LOOKS not the sound, as the motor is a tad loud. Also, for a great aesthetic it needs more rocks. Despite that, this water garden is peaceful and soothing. From a few feet away, however I hear the water and not the motor. It's also a great deal for the price- desktop fountains because they don't come cheap. I have it up on a high dresser along with my bonsai trees and a few natural photographs and get compliments on it non-stop... if you're looking for a soothing sound, get the spa sound tools, if you're going for home decorating, this fits the bill.

Why would they make a water fountain that the motor is louder than the sound of the water? Did not find the motor sound soothing.
