This product was a huge disappointment to me. Instead of making my hair soft and shiny like I expected, it made my hair look and feel dry, stiff, and lackluster. I guess it protects from heat but I thought hair that was protected would look nice. I would rather take my chances with heat damage than have my hair looking awful as a result of using this product.

My beautician introduced me to the Chi products. I love it and plan to continue using it. Would definitely recommend it.

It's easy to spray on and it doesn't leave your hair oily looking like some other products I've used.

If you can get it washed out even with a clarifying shampoo - your hair will feel like straw. Can't comb my hair after washing even with a detangler. I only sprayed lightly - and my hair was stuck together. Loved CHI Silk Infusion - but this was the worst product ever and this is the first negative review for anything that I've ever posted.

I am a huge CHI fan and I use the Infra Shampoo, Conditioner, the Keratin Mist and the Silk Infusion. I LOVE the smell of CHI and what it does to my hair so I decided to buy the Iron Guard, thinking it would be the final touch to achieve perfect hair. However, I soon found that I was WRONG. After blow drying my hair, I sectioned it and sprayed a modest amount of the Iron Guard in my hair and combed it in. I saw that it made my hair a little wet but I thought nothing of it and proceeded to flat iron my hair. As soon as the flat iron made contact with my hair I heard a sizzling noise...IT WAS FRYING MY HAIR! I hopped back in the shower to wash all of it out of my hair and went back to my normal routine and my hair came out just fine. I am VERY disappointed in this product. I was hoping it would work since the other CHI products work so wonderfully with my hair. Perhaps because I have ethnic hair, it didn't work. I don't know about everyone else but I know this product was a waste of money for me.

I have very thin fine hair so I used a very little amount making sure not to weigh my hair down with too much product. I put 3 sprays in my hand then added a drop of CHI silk infusion into it and mixed them together. Put this in my hair then flat ironed it. The results were TOTALLY AMAZING!!! I have limp dull hair and it made my hair look like a friggen celebrity's! No lie, if you used it and it didnt work for you, try using it in a different way! play around with the amount you use too. depending on your hair type you may need more or less product!! Yey for CHI!! They are genius!

I read the reviews before trying this stuff out, so I went ahead and purchased me a bottle. I must say, this stuff rocks! My hair is color-treated and kind of on the dry side and I use my flat iron all the time. Well, I noticed after the first time I used this stuff, my hair felt soft and looked shiny and well styled... I noticed fewer split ends as well. I am pleased with this stuff! The smell is unisex, so either guy or girl can use it. The only con IMO is that if you spray too close, it does leave your hair a tad greasy. Overall, great product!

I found this product to be one of the worst I have ever tried. It immediately dried out my hair and made my hair impossible to style. Product stiffens and dries hair so if that's what you are looking for it's perfect.

I was introduced to this product a couple of years ago and didn't know it was to be used in conjunction with flattening your hair. My hair is curly. I spray it on my wet hair and dry with the diffuser and I love the condition it puts my hair in. Plus the great smell. I would call this an all-purpose product, not just for flat ironing.

I bought this thinking it would soften and protect my hair when using the flat iron. It actually makes my hair feel a bit stiff. I have found that it works great with a curling iron though. It makes the curls hold better. I don't really like the smell. It reminds me of a men's cologne, and I really don't want to smell like a man! I'll use it occasionally for curling, but I'll look elsewhere for something to use when straightening.
