I have been using Herpetrol for several years. I use to have continuous cold sore and chap lip problems. After taking Herpetrol I now rarely have problems.

Yes this is expensive but when taken as directed, it did seem to help when I had an outbreak that was slow to go away! I had quit taking my Lysine and any vitamins when my last outbreak occurred and after it finally cleared up, I decided to take 2 tablets of Herpetrol every day as a preventive measure, instead of taking the multi-vitamin and the Lysine. I like the fact that it's fornulated with natural ingredients and contains no sugar or sodium. If I feel an outbreak coming on, I increase the dosage and take 2 tablets 4 times a day as directed. I would rate this 5 stars if it wasn't quite so expensive!

This product is best used the minute you start to feel the tingling in your lips that comes before the cold sore outbreak. Do not delay even an hour, keep a supply of Herpetrol in your purse, car or overnight bag. I take 4 tablets at first, then 2 every 2 hours the first day, then if the tingling goes away (which it will if you caught it fast enough) on the 2nd and 3rd day I still take 2 tablets 4 times a day. That program will prevent a cold sore outbreak. If you don't start the Herpetrol in time (if for example the tingling started while you were asleep) then still follow the above advice and your cold sore will not be as bad as if you didn't use the Herpetro. Just keep using the product until the cold sore is gone.
