A diaper disposal system, the Playtex Diaper Genie: Advanced Disposal System. The revolutionary AIR-TITE system uses a five layer film and the Push-N-Lock clamp to lock away odor. The unscented, Diaper Genie refill cassette is easy to replace. Just remove the lid, open the top of the refill and place the new cassette into the pail. Each refill cassette has enough film to hold up to 270 diapers. Diaper Genie refills are to be used only with the Playtex Diaper Genie: Advanced Disposal System.
Please Note: These refills remain compatible with the Diaper Genie II Pail and the Diaper Genie II Elite Pail. Although the names and packaging of the pails and their refills have been updated, the products themselves remain the same.

Good product...just wish they were a bit thicker so that they would hold in the odor a little more. Even with frequent changing, the odor still escapes from the Diaper Genie II.

I love that I don't have to smell a "diaper smell" in my daughters room. They are easy to use and do keep the odor in the genie. We were thinking of changing to a different diaper pail, but with the fact that a lot of these have to be open and expose all the soiled diapers inside their pails, is just not for me. I want to throw one diaper away and not be reminded of the others in there that will need to be thrown! So this diaper genie is the one we are sticking with for #2., even though the refills can be pricey. I think its the difference between a clean smelling nursery and a yucky smelling one.

With our first child we used the basic Diaper Genie product and loved it. With our second we decided to get a Diaper Genie II Elite because we wanted the foot pedal. But this review is about the refills! So ... the DG II refills seem to me to last a lot longer. On the other hand, my husband is the one who changes them! But I don't think I'm wrong.

I looked at all the diaper pail systems, and decided to try this one. I really do like it! Our baby is 4 months old, and there is NO diaper pail smell in her room whatsoever! (However, she is exclusively breastfed, so the diapers aren't as stinky as formula-fed) The refills seem to last quite a while, and the pail holds a lot so we only have to empty every few days. Of course when we add solid food at 6 months, the smell may necessitate emptying more often. But so far... it's been great!
