For the price, this heating pad works just fine. The cover slips off too easy, but I fixed that by putting safety pins in it. Sometimes it gets a bit wrinkly and doesn't stay smooth, but that 's okay too. It heats up pretty quick, and you do have a choice in temperature so it all evens out in the end. I like it.

Since we're not using it in contact with a person (or critter), the auto shutoff on most others is a detriment to us, and we looked for one without for quite a while. Then I thought of drugstore.com, and - sure enough - there it was. The bird thanks you.

When I got the heating pad I will have to admit...I was worried about it's performance. Was it going to be too hot, not hot enough,was the cord going to be long enough?, etc. But when I plugged it in the cord was a perfect length and all the heat settings were just the amount I needed. Now, I have only had this heating pad for a few weeks so we will see how long it lasts...but for now it's wonderful and I will keep on buying it again and again if need be.

I've had a GE heating pad for 46 years and it finally wore out. I ordered the Sunbeam and was very disappointed. It didn't heat up quickly, stopped working after a few minutes and wouldn't restart, and had a very stiff cord. Would not recommend this product.

A nice, but rare heating pad that does not contain that horrible automatic turn off. When I need the heat for my back, I get to decide when I have had enough. The cover is soft and I love it. I bought two.

I read the first review and was excited to hear it doesn't have an "auto" shut off. I hate waking up to a cold heating pad and I have not been able to find one in Alb. So I've ordered 3. I'm hoping there is no "auto" shut off when they arrive. Thanks 1st reviewer! That sold the pad for me! Wish it was larger -- but beggars can't be choosers.

This heats up well! Have had it for about a month. The only thing I don't like about it is the cover doesn't stay snapped well, and the cord on it is the stiffest thing I have ever come across! Wish it had auto off though, sometimes I forget to turn it off. Other than that, works great for my sore muscle in my upper back.
