Measured leg and ordered according to what was listed and it didn't even come close to fitting around leg. Very dissapointed because it cost almost half the purchase price to mail it back!

If you plan to do a lot of sitting while wearing the brace, this is the one for you. I'm tall and tend to splay my legs while at the computer which, if done for long periods, can twist joint cartilage and destabilize the knee. Thus, I need to brace the knee even when sitting, and any brace with material behind the knee will cause bunching and soreness.

Proper fit: First apply the top with the leg extended -- snug but not too tight; then bend the knee about half way and pull the brace downward so the kneecap is centered in the hole before closing the bottom half. This way, I find that I can wear it all day -- even though I spend many hours at the computer -- and all but forget I have it on. The side slats are what keep the joint stabilized, not the pressure of a really tight fit.

I find it perfect for walking, so the reviewer who poo-poo'd it must not have fitted it properly. My twisted knee tends to give out when walking (before the brace, I once stepped off a curb onto the unstable leg; it gave out and sent me sprawling to the street). Now, the brace keeps the knee from giving out, and my doctor says it will eventually heal itself if kept in proper alignment -- which this brace does perfectly.

Don't buy this if you need to actually bend your knee. I purchased this to wear while I go on walks and it doesn't let me bend my knee enough to walk comfortably. If you aren't that mobile I'm sure this is great but I have to return mine. Thanks

I have Multiple Sclerosis, and have been wearing this brace for about 5 years. I highly recommend it for comfort and support. I also found a wonderful side effect of wearing the brace. It makes the public aware there is a physical difficulty, and people are less likely to stare!
