Based on the other ratings, I thought this product would be great and I was really looking for something natural that would work. In the end, I actually think it made me break out more! It has a really weird texture but that would be fine if it worked. However, it seemed like it made my skin oilier and I really don't even have oily skin! I kept waiting for it to improve (gets worse before it gets better type) but it hasn't and the bottle is half gone. I won't be using this product anymore.

This product probably does a good job of controlling mild acne for individuals with clogged pores, so I would recommend it to those who just have mild acne - blackheads and non-inflamed whiteheads. This did not work (after use for 2 months) for my moderate acne, which is a problem of clogged pores and p. acnes bacteria. So I do not recommend it to those with moderate or severe acne - inflamed whiteheads. It didn't make my breakouts worse, but it did not help. I thought the smell was nice and light, I'd describe it as "naturally perfumey", both floral and herbal. It left my skin feeling sticky, even though I only applied a thin layer. So, if you're looking for something to fight the occasional pimple or two, but not more severe than that, try this.

I purchased this product to replace a cream exfoliant that I really loved, but that the company discontinued. Anyway, I use it at night after washing my face. Since I have occasional break-outs, I like the exfoliant/blemish fighting combination. I have used this in combination with a lighter leave-on exfoliant, to insure my skin is not overly dried out, and it seem to be working well.

Yes, it smells awful (like a musty closet to be exact). Yes, it's impossible to wear under makeup. But, that said, it does happen to be one of the best exfoliants I have ever used and it does a great job of controlling my mild, adult acne. So I have gotten over it's bad smell and texture. I put this on at night after I wash my face. By morning, my skin is soft and glowing.

I still can't tell if this is working, but I don't think it's hurting. I bought it hoping that I could exfoliate without all the scrubbing of other products.

I actually did not like this product at all. It sat as a layer on my skin and I could not apply makeup over it without it balling up and flaking off my face. It also had such a smell to it that I can't describe, almost like something rotten. I do love the Ecco Bella brand and wish this would have worked for me.

This exfoliant is the best. It's all natural and organic, it has Salicylic Acid and AHA, which are both a plus in my book because I have acne and worry about aging. You definitely cannot start out using it a lot because it is strong. I started using it every other night until my skin slowly adapted to it because it is strong and very effective. Like any exfoliant, it may not always be pretty in the beginning, but the end results are worth it. I fell in love with EB's products and am totally hooked. I also love the fact that they are doing away with all parabens in their products. That's a huge winner in my book.

This product certainly lives up to the description offered - an amazing exfoliant which is not drying... EXCELLENT!

I used this 2x a day for a few weeks, and wasn't happy. I have very oily, acne-prone skin with large pores, and this was making my skin shinier faster when I'd wear it under makeup. It soaks in and feels dry, but turns to shine rather quickly. Feeling disappointed (because I'm always searching for a cure for my terrible skin, and hoped I'd found it with this product), I put it on a shelf in my medicine cabinet. But a few more weeks went by, and my skin was breaking out worse than ever. So I pulled this off the shelf to give it another try. This time, I decided to only use it at night. I cleanse and dry, use Ecco Bella exfoliant, then follow by patting my face with a drop of jojoba mixed with 2 drops of tea tree oil. My skin is as blemish-free as it's ever been (it should be noted I also started using Juice Organics antioxidant serum during the day). I would have given 5 stars, but held one star back because it makes me oily.

This stuff is great! I was looking for something with more natural ingredients to replace the Murad exfoliating acne gel I had been using. Don't get me wrong, the Murad stuff was great, I'm just nervous and was looking for more organic and natural ingredients. I tried the Juice beauty acne gel/serum, which was good but not as strong. This stuff is strong and I can only use it once a day (just like the Murad), but it does seem to keep my awful adult acne in check. My skin also seems less oily since I started using about a month ago. It smells nice, absorbs well, and a little goes a long way. I use a few drops every morning, and after four weeks, the bottle is till mostly full. It's definitely worth it. If I used too much, I get flakey in spots, but that's easy to prevent. Good-bye, breakouts!
