This is my favorite mascara. I've been using it for years now. I've had a difficult time finding it in drugstores, so I always buy it from drugstore.com. I've even used a high-end brand that was waterproof and it didn't work as well. The Max Factor 2000 Calorie Lash really is waterproof and works well. It stays on all day, it's always reliable.

I've tried all the waterproofs, and this is my recommendation for the winner. Nice smooth mascara, no flaking, fat sturdy brush, and only clumps if you've used it for too many weeks. (As a reference, I used to like the long-gone Maybelline Fresh Lash.) Needs baby oil to remove.

I read reviews & thought this would be a great mascara for the price, plus hearing good things about the brand, but after being a long-time user of Covergirl & Maybelline mascara, I'm dissapointed. It's not lengthening OR volumizing. Basically, I apply it for a minute or so & the lashes just look like slightly longer, blacker versions of themselves, with hardly a recognizable change. I can't wait for this bottle to be used up so that I can buy Maybelline Volume Express or Lash Discovery mascaras!

I really like this mascara. I've been using the maybelline classic pink and green tube forever, but it's more for going out because you kinda have to glop in on in order to get even thickness... This is a wonderful alternative. I'll make this my day time mascara and just use the maybelline for heavy going-out-dancing lashes. Good stuff.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Aqua Lash is EXCELLENT!!! I have used some form of Max Factor waterproof mascara for 35-40 years and it has never let me down! I have terrible allergies, with watery eyes most of the year....this mascara NEVER runs! NEVER!! NOT EVEN ONCE!!! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Some might say it is hard to remove....but only if you try to remove it with water! It can't be done...it's waterproof! (duh) Use an oily remover and it comes right off...I use Pond's cold cream....it removes the mascara, makeup, and leaves my face smooth and moisturized--not greasy--all at the same time.

I have been using this mascara for years and still haven't found a better replacement. The color goes on evenly and makes my lashes long and thick without clumping. I like that the mascara is waterproof and rarely smudges, even on the bottom lashes. The only thing is that you usually have to apply two coats, but the mascara lasts all day.

I just tried Diorshow, which is supposedly the gold standard of mascara in the fashion business and I have to say that I did not think that the Dior mascara performed any better than the 2000 Calorie, which I had previously been using for some time. Max Factor's mascara thickens my lashes, only leaves minor smudging on the lower outer corner of my eye by the end of the day, and is one fifth the price of the Dior. I'm switching back.
