i bought 2 or 3 bottle different of clubman pinaud each have a different flavor,some time i smell hot and some time i smell jazzy and some time i smell smooth

Another great product from Clubman Pinaud. Special Reserve starts with a sharp leather scent when applied, but quickly (15-30 mins) settles down to a softer leather with the slightest, barely detectable hint of vanilla sweetness. It is definitely a strong scent, so discretion when applying is important, and it lasts all day. More of a Fall/Winter scent, but I sometimes use other times, too. For the price, you simply cannot go wrong.

I was extremely upset with this product. I have always loved the Pinaud powders and shaving products. This has an overwhelming smell. It's a very heavy scent. It reminds me of a smell you would get when you mix too many different colognes together. It does not dissipate over time. I can only imagine what others thought. I will never purchase again. If you like a heavy smell and want something that takes musk to a whole new level...then this MAY be it. I will never purchase again...or smell I hope.

Strong compared to other Clubman products but I like it. More leathery, woodsy. Not floral. It lasts longer than the Classic Vanilla. Like Classic Vanilla, it reminds me of another cologne, possiblly English Leather, but as the other reviewer said, not quite. I recommend it.

I had never heard of this product .. but I took a chance and ordered it .. I am very satisfied .. It smells great and refreshes after shaving.

My barber used a little of this after a haircut once and I was hooked. Reminds me of all those "old-time barbershop" smells when I was growing up in the 50s. It is an "acquired" taste -- smell-wise. You'll either like it or not. For the price, give it a try. It has a smell sort of reminiscent of English Leather -- sort of! A little goes a LONG way -- I'm replacing a bottle I've had for about two years. Like all Clubman and Pinaud products, a great value.

I'm silly but got confused on the TSA's liquid guidelines and they seized my bottle of the Special Reserve After Shave. I ordered a replacement the next day. I counted the days until my replacement arrived. This aftershave is strong smelling going on but fades very quickly. The first few times I tried it I was skeptical but after a few days I was hooked. My wife likes it too. This aftershave is very clean feeling and even has some numbing properties which are nice. The fragrance is hard to describe but it's pretty old school; it makes me think of a cowboy cleaning up for a night out or 1950's Las Vegas.

I like the old time scent, hints of leather and spice. Wife however is not too keen on it, she says its too "powdery"? Everyone will have to judge this one on their own terms.

HOW MUCH WE LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND VOW TO NEVER BE WITHOUT IT!! IT HAS A TRULY UNIQUE FRAGRANCE...GO FOR IT!
