Both the shampoo and conditioner protects curls and after using both products I can get a comb through my hair without pulling. I wish it was all natural, but it does not have parabens in it so that is a start. The scent is pleasant, and I will keep using these 2 products. I was shocked that Herbal Essences discontinued it. The Totally Twisted does not do the same thing--instead of soft, loose curls, my hair seems more tight and frizzy, and a bit dull. The Tousle Me Softly was/is a superior product. I hope they have plans to bring it back because I am currently shopping around trying out different brands now to find something similar. Yes / No - You may also flag this review 2/24/2015 Moisturizes Straight Hair While Keeping It Voluminous and Bouncy By jquad25 from Undisclosed Comments about Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Shampoo, 23.7 fl oz: I have fine, pin straight, dirty blonde hair but a decent amount of it and I used Body Envy for years and years, and then also Long Term Relationship in addition to Body Envy once my hair got really long, and loved the smells of each but found volume didn't ever last that long in my hair. Then I tried Organix (now OGX/Proganix) volumizing line which left me with a dry, itchy, flaky, red scalp and hair that came out in handfuls. After using a real organic shampoo to get my scalp and hair healed, I was looking for a regular shampoo to switch back to. Tried Pantene volumizing shampoo and had the same problem of dryness, and also a burning scalp. I use flexi rods constantly to curl my hair and have been using the HE Totally Twisted Mousse which does an amazing job of reviving my curls on days 2 and 3. I was reading all of the reviews here on how well this shampoo and conditioner moisturizes without weighing hair down and figured what the heck. THIS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IS AMAZING. It doesn't magically curl my hair of course, but instead of one side of my hair flipping in and one side flipping out, both flip inwards for bouncy ends and all over volume and moisture and shine. After one use my scalp stopped burning and I no longer have fly aways sticking up all over the place. I have never been so happy with shampoo and conditioner before, and highly recommend straight haired girls to give this a try as well. Please do not ever ever ever ever discontinue this line!!!! This shampoo and matching conditioner smells amazing and makes my hair look great all day. I use the shampoo, conditioner and the styling cream. I love love love these products and brand.
