This is a plant based cleaner, but it works. It doesn't contain toxic chemicals. I don't know why people are complaining about the plastic wrapper on each tablet. It is neither difficult to remove nor some enormous piece of earth killing plastic. The box says the plastic wrapper is there to keep the tablet together and dry during transit. That makes sense to me. I buy it as an alternative to toxic cleaners.

This is the best automatic dishwasher detergent I have ever used and I have tried a lot. It works better than anything else, and its eco friendly! Other eco friendly brands do not work as well and even regular brands do not cut through stuck on food like this does. It gets your dishes sparkling clean - even if you do not rinse them well before putting in the dishwasher. LOVE IT!

I was a little afraid to try a natural dishwashing detergent. I wanted to make sure that my dishes would be clean and I wouldn't have to handwash everything after the dishwasher was done. But the Ecover tabs work great- I think even better than my Cascade did. Plus, my kids have been learning how to load & run the dishwasher. They just pop a tablet in and turn it on. Very simple. And they leave no film or residue on my glasses. Very happy. Plus drugstore.com has the cheapest price on these that I can find, especially if you happen to get the free shipping. I will be stocking up on these as they aren't available at any stores near me.

I have never been much of a rinse user ... put the dishes in the dishwasher, throw in a soap cube and go. But when I switched to more earth friendly products I found that sometimes you get either a funny smell in your glasses or white residue on the bottoms of the glasses. With WaveJet spot and residue eliminator plus Ecover dishwashing tablets I get clean dishes with no smell or residue. Another plus id my silverware comes out great. I use to use Seventh Generation Dishwashing soap and had the two problems I mentioned above and my silverware was dull and blotchy. Now it comes out clean and shiny. I will use these two products as long as they are sold here on Drugstore.com
