I bought this product because of the affordable price, and the positive reviews, but I was very dissappointed! I can handle the taste and consistency, but it gives me terrible gas!! I have no known food allergies or other problems like this from other food. I tried using smaller amounts and with water and milk, but the same nasty results. Just want to warn potential buyers that it might affect you this way??

I personally think that this stuff tastes horrible...especially if you try to mix it only with water. When I'm able to, I mix it with soy milk and can tolerate it a little better. With just water, it can be an ordeal to drink the whole cup. I recommend adding some cocoa powder or Slimfast to improve the taste. You absolutely need to have a blender to mix this powder. I've tried mixing with just a spoon and there were always lots of clumps. I've tried using a shaker and shaking vigorously for a minute or more--still got clumps. The blender is the only way to not end up with a clumpy shake. On a positive note, if you can ignore the taste, it has great protein content and is an excellent value. I always feel good after drinking it and it is really good for muscle recovery.

So sickening sweet.

I bought this after reading great reviews here. What a waste of money! It tastes extremely sweet and when mixed with milk it does not dissolve. It's like drinking milk with gritty sugar in it. Do yourself a favor and get a quality protein like Designer Whey. I would have given it zero stars if possible.

I am someone with a very complex background - not only did I have gastric bypass, losing nearly 200 lbs, but I had a serious injury and as a result, have a lot of ongoing pain. Because this powder has so much protein as well as BCAAs, it actually helps your body rebuild. I have an excellent physician that told me taking this product is 'the smartest idea you've ever had.' It tastes good, mixes great with any fruit, yogurt, juice or milk (I drink soy) and by taking it first thing in the morning, you will actually help your nerves be revived with the protein needed to keep them from sending as many pain sensations throughout your body. I know it sounds crazy, but my doc knows his stuff and I believe it 100% because I have seen it myself! It's also great pre or post workout and as a meal replacement when you're just too busy to eat. I love love love it and it also makes me full enough to not need or want anything else. They have vanilla and chocolate available. I love vanilla because it's so versatile, can mix with anything. I have used this brand of shake as part of a low-carb regimen that has helped me to lose 40 pounds over the last year. I love the chocolate flavor shake. With the chocolate shake, I throw water or the rest of the morning coffee into the blender along with a scoop of the powder, cream, eggs, stevia or splenda, and a little ice. It takes just a few seconds in the blender, and then I pour it into a thermos and take it to work for lunch. The vanilla shake (without the coffee) makes a nice change. I told my doctor about my recipe, and got no objections at all about the eggs.
