Too hot to handle

I thought this would be the perfect finishing tool, but not so much! I'm not great with a curling iron, but now I can't even use the flat iron without constantly burning myself...hands, ears, neck, and scalp. The outside is always so hot, unlike a regular flat iron. This really slows things down.

after watching tv commercial i thought this would be awesome...i was wrong! the commercial made it look so simple when in reality it's not. the top part of the curl is okay but the bottom of your hair looks uncurled and sticks out. to get better results i would suggest buying a curling iron and it doesn't straighten well either. if i'm doing it wrong then it's just too complicated to even bother with!

I use this iron almost everyday and have done for the last 2 years. It works great. My only complaint is that is snaggs hair and pulls it if you have it too close to spring on barrell (but that's the same with most irons). The higher temperature is great for my thick hair and works very good on African-American hair too. After two years, I am just about to get another one, only because I dropped it and it seems to have a slight short so turns it self off or to lower heat every once in a while!

I have a hard time styling my hair due to a disablity involving my left side and neck. This curling iron was easy to use, but I did burn myself quite oftern until I got the hang of it. I wouldn't recommend it for short hair but for medium and long it works well.

Heats up very quick and hot in 30 seconds and has multiple heat settings up to 395 degrees F. The round barel for the curling iron works effectively when using the flat iron to curl like a curling iron. The curling iron will snag your hair but any other curling iron will do the same if you angle your hair into the spring. This is a definite buy as it creates a salon look in your home.

I think this is a great tool -- it gets hot instantaneously and doesn't damage hair. It has enough grab to hold your hair, but doesn't clamp down so hard that would pull or snag your hair.

I read some good reviews and decided to give this product a try. Bad idea, I have straight hair, I just like to use a straightener to help perfect the look when I wake up up or have a bend in my hair from being pulled up...The straightener did nothing but made it look worse. It had no real clamp down on the hair either and you couldn't do it with your fingers on the plastic end piece because it was too hot to touch. The curling iron was just as bad, no real heat, no real clamp, awkward and just did not help at all. Very poorly made product.

I purchased this product to replace an older model of the same one. This one is even better! The temp control is easier to use than the old dial style and stays on the setting you pick. Adds shine & keeps my wavy, sometimes frizzy hair smooth & sleek all day. I like the choice of straightening or curling in one appliance. Hairs do get caught occasionally in the hinge portion of the curling clip- but other than that minor annoyance - I Love it!

I bought this after I got the new angled bob because all my girlfriends said I needed a straightener and I was reluctant so I bought this. It worked well as a curling iron but the straightener snagged and pulled my hair. I have very fine straight hair and it left crimps. I thought I wasnt using it right so I borrowed my friends straightener that she bought from a salon and wow what a difference the expensive salon straightener was worth every penny it worked great. Also the lock broke after 2 months.
