I have chronic back pain and was excited to give this a try. Two awesome things about it. 1. It stays cold for a very, very long time! 2. It has a strap to keep it in place.

I wrapped it around my middle and was able to sit, stand, cook, clean, etc. without it ever slipping or falling. LOVE IT!

This is probably the best cold pack I've purchased. It does work for hours as it says on the box. I actually bought it for hand pain, but works well on my lower back as well. The elastic strap is awesome because it keeps the pack on my back even when I'm walking around. The sleeve that you put the pack in is perfect because you can still feel the cold through it. My sister actually introduced this to me because she saw it in her local pharmacy but was weary since it had that "As Seen On TV" label on it. She decided to get it anyway and it worked wonders for her to the point where she recommended it to me. Definitely worth the small investment.

When I ordered the CryoMax 8 hour Cold Pack, I was looking for one that would wrap around my ankle. I thought that since this one was advertised that it would work on the arm, it would surely work for an ankle. It doesn't!! The cold pack won't bend correctly to go around anything so that makes it completely worthless to me. Apparently, this particular one is for use on the back only.

I have several of these ice packs. I use the small size for my migraine headaches and the medium size for pain in my SI joint. These ice packs freeze quickly and stay cold a long time but not so cold that you can't stand to have them next to your skin. The cloth covering is nice although I've never personall had much use fo rthe straps. Best ice packs I've ever used.

This ice pack is fantastic. The ice pack itself is very good, with individual bubbles of ice so that I can flex the pack to work where I need it - on my forehead, around the back of my head, etc. The pouch the pack is placed into is equally great - it's soft, has a strong elastic band that is sewn on to one end and attaches with velcro on the other, so I can attach the ice pouch wherever I need and ensure a great fit. I've worn it for hours, and the coldness still lasts. Can't wait to use this more when needed - it is worth the money.

Used pre and post major back surgerry. Used my FSA topay for 3 to keep one cold at all times. They were a lifesaver!

I have fibromyalgia and sometimes get bad headaches and migraines. When I need ice this cold pack is perfect for conforming comfortably to the back of neck, top of head, over eyes. I've also used it for shoulder blade pain. It's just comfortable and effective. I have two!

While the cryo-max maintained its cold, it did not conform to my body. I found it thick and lumpy even when using it with flat side against the body. The cover did not fit completely over the ice pack and would sweat and drip as it melted. The older model was much more user friendly.
