I have eczema so I am limited on moisturizer choices. To make matters worse, I am allergic to lanolin so I am unable to use Eucerin and Aquaphor, which are traditionally good for eczema. I had to do a lot of research to find Vanicream, which is not well known. It works as good as any other moisturizer, I mean it doesn't "cure" eczema. My only complaint is I wish it came in a thick version (like Eucerin). I like a thicker cream to put on my face under makeup. Other than that, Vanicream is great.

My daughter has suffered from eczema on the folds of her arms for over 12 years. I felt so bad for her becasue she was constantly scratching. The appearance of her ezcema was very very dry, flaky, oozing and discolored. I received this cream on the 4th of July, by the 8th of July her skin was amazing. I must add that since the 4th, she has a steady treatment of the following. Zinc vitamins 1x a day, Cod liver oil 1x a day, a cool shower using Aveeno soap bar. A doctor prescribed steroid cream. Aveeno lotion and then as a final coat, the Vanicream. I have tried this treatment in the past sans the vitamins, but it never worked as good as this. Her skin is so pretty now and as a mother that truely brings me joy! NO MORE ITCH!

I've been dealing with eczema and allergic skin sensitivities for my whole life. Dermatologists have suggested Vanicream in the past but I didn't start using it until even the mildest products, like Lubriderm and Cetaphil starting causing itchy and flaky skin. Vanicream has not "cured" my skin problems, but it doesn't make them worse. I use the big tub at home and keep this smaller tube with me if my skin gets flaky during the day. Honestly, my only complaint is that the bottles look so dull and "clinical," but the product itself works very well for me. I also use the Free & Clear shampoo and conditioner.

I sweat by this lotion! It is the only lotion that I can use, because I am allergic to even the "hypo-allergenic" lotions on the market. This lotion is thick and long-lasting, and great for very dry skin.

IF Aquaphor is too heavy then this cream does the same job without the heaviness. I use it on my baby's skin when it's dry and it works a treat. It's good to have in 2 sizes so that there's always one in the nappy bag.
