I then curl my hair to my style and use other spray products (Freeze and Shine)Big Sexy Hair. Then I Love to use this Scrunch by spraying it into my fingers to then define different pieces of my hair to give the bangs area or other pieces a piece-y look. In place of using those styling pastes(that usually then you can't restyle those pasted pieces after. It works well to hold your hair. I am a Hairspry fanatic. Used other Aussie's but I really love this. Like I said it works Great as a Root Lifter. It smelled wonderful, was never sticky, added shine, held every hair in place, held up in humidity, and washed out easily. BUT, with all the reformulations over the years, this stuff is nothing but dollar store junk now. First of all, the smell is now HORRIBLE. It must have a ton of alcohol in it now because it dries out my hair completely. I use hairspray everyday, and with this stuff, I would have to use some kind of clarifying shampoo to get it out. And even with that kind of shampoo, it was still extremely difficult to get my hair completely clean. It doesn't hold well, and it turns sticky in humidity. You know the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!"?? After trying NUMEROUS sprays looking for the perfect replacement (even the highest rated products here), I tried TRESemme Tres Two #4 all day humidity resistance pump spray and the angels sang! OMG, why didn't I try it before? It is nothing but perfection-does everything the original sprunch spray did and more. And, No I am not employed with TRESemme! Comments about Aussie Catch the Wave Sprunch Hair Spray, Strong Hold, 8.5 fl oz: I really love the Aussie scrunch spray. The trick to avoid 'crunchiness' is to apply to hair just after washing, then wrap in towel for a few minutes. I have curly hair so I always use a diffuser, set on low warm & continue to constistently work the product into my hair while blowdrying. Great product & great purchase price, especially when on sale. Thanks Drugstore.com.

Comments about Aussie Catch the Wave Sprunch Hair Spray, Strong Hold, 8.5 fl oz: I really like the Aussie scrunchy spray. The trick is to apply to damp hair right after shower, then wrap back up in towel for a few minutes. I have very curly hair, so I always blow dry my hair on low heat, with a diffuser, scrunching my curls as I dry. Leaves my hair looking great & without the crunch...but you have to work it into your hair to avoid the 'crunchiness.' Love Aussie products, especially when they're on sale. Thanks Drugstore.com.

Comments about Aussie Catch the Wave Sprunch Hair Spray, Strong Hold, 8.5 fl oz: Love how this scrunches my curls so they last all day. If you don't use a leave-in conditioner your hair will feel a bit crunchy. After shampooing I use a leave-in conditioner, then apply Aussie Sprunchy spray to damp hair & lightly diffuse with blow dryer on low heat setting. Great Product!

Best Uses Comments about Aussie Catch the Wave Sprunch Hair Spray, Strong Hold, 8.5 fl oz: Seems to hold hair in place for a short period of time, perhaps one hour. Then my hair returns to its own floppy self, hanging in front of my eyes and getting in my way. Have to use bobby pins to keep it behind my ears and out of the way. My hair feels like I never sprayed it.

Comments about Aussie Catch the Wave Sprunch Hair Spray, Strong Hold, 8.5 fl oz: I used to use the pump hairspray all the time until I noticed that any overspray was removing the paint from my bathroom walls. I went back to the aerosol. I went to the pump originally to help save the ozone layer but since I was about the only one doing that, I couldn't see persuing it any longer.

Comments about Aussie Catch the Wave Sprunch Hair Spray, Strong Hold, 8.5 fl oz: Sprunch Spray has been reformulated and does not perform as well as it used to. It's stickier and harder to use, and it now leaves white chunks of product in the hair, when the previous formula was flake-free. I hope P&G will go back to the old formula (Aussie hasn't been the same since they took over the company), if not, I will try some of the suggested replacement products given by the other reviewers. Too bad. It used to be a great, inexpensive product. :-( Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (1 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
