It cleans well enough on household laundry that has no ground in dirt or food or oil stains. Grass stains on socks were not removed, but, then, few detergents do that. 1/2 scoop per load in an HE washer cleans effectively. I didn't find the scented version noticeably different from the fragrance-free one. The range in prices online for this product is amazing.

Been using this detergent for over 1.5 years now. My husband has very sensitive skin with soaps and detergent and so I just made the decision to swap over from a 'conventional' detergent to this to see what the difference was.

I use just under a full scoop for each full load. Sprinkle it into the bottom of my washer (top loader) as the water is filling in. It starts to disolve and by the time I've gotten the first few items sorted out and thrown in there is about 1/2 in of water in the bottom and the detergent is fully disolved.

If you over-fill the washer, I find it doesn't rinse as cleanly as it could, however that would probably happen if you were to over-fill with any washer/detergent combo.

My husband complained early on that he would find white specks on his clothes after using the detergent but he would put the powder in after filling the tub with clothes and not let it disolve in the bottom first.

I also use a liquid softener (either Downey or white vinegar, depending on what I'm washing) in a dispenser ball but I've never had an issue with either combination.

This little box lasts me an entire year of laundry for me and my roommate! It's enough for 3 loads a week for a year- and it's perfect for my sensitive skin! It's a great value.

TIP: Put detergent in the base of the washing machine before adding clothes. This way the detergent always dissolves!

I bought this product based on the reviews and I also love Biokleen's dishwasher detergent. I'm really unhappy with it, though. It doesn't dissolve all the way and leaves a film on my clothes. I have tried using warm water thinking that might help, but still the same. We have hard water so that might be part of the problem, but I have never had this issue with laundry detergent before.

I LOVE this detergent and have used nothing but it for the past 3 years- that being said I've only gone through 3 boxes between myself and my roommate, ever. It have SAVED US SO MUCH MONEY! And it gets stains out, and it doesn't hurt my sensitive skin and it's good for the environment. Whoever says this is expensive hasn't done the math to see how much they have saved using it! I mean, this box EASILY does 100+ loads of laundry. At 2 a week that's a year's worth of laundry!

I used SA8 for decades, but now find it cost prohibitive. BioKleen is even better, costs less and the Free and Clear version is great for sensitive skin or those with allergies. This is my second 10 lb box, so evidence of good product, and it certainly will not be my last!

My husband is a construction worker with sensitive skin. In addition, our family doesn't appreciate heavily scented detergents. Biokleen gets his grimy, mud-caked clothes clean, and his skin doesn't react to it. I do use an additional stain remover for stubborn stains. We'll definitely buy this again.
