Works great, but caution needed

Bottom Line: recommended

This is the only thing I've found so far that shuts up my tennis elbow. The only problems I've had is with over-applying it (the burning sensation is unpleasant) and because there's no smell I can forget I've applied it... rub my elbow and then later rub my eye.... not smart, but smarts.... so accidentally "peppering" yourself is a possibility. But 1 application and my elbows shut up for 2 days... even after swimming or showering... so I'll keep using it as needed.

This was my first and last time using this product. The burning sensation was intense. I had to use ice packs for over 8 hours. It has been over 18 hours and although the burning sensation has decreased it is still there. As soon as I put it on I started itching. I tried to wash it off to no avail. The itching stopped but the burning only got worse. I would suggest anyone using this for the first time to do a small amount first. (I was using this on my hand/wrist).

I have been using this product for 2 weeks. I have lots of pain in my hands in the area around my thumbs on the backs of both hands. This product has done wonders for my arthritis pain. I don't have the pain throughout the day that I had been experiencing. I would suggest some of the negative comments might have been precipitated by an over-use of the product. Capzasin is the most effective product for relieving muscles aches, but I find that the cream is much more powerful and effective in diminishing pain than is this liquid form of it.

My husband has used Capzasin for at least 10 years. It is great for lower back pain, and sore tendons. The no-mess applicator is fabulous for travel and on the spot application. He keeps it in his briefcase so he can use it anytime without having to wash his hands after applying. (It really burns if your hands get near your eyes or if you get it near sensitive areas when you are going to the bathroom)

I agree this product causes a burning sensation, but it also works better for relieving pain than anything else I've ever tried!! It gives me hours of relief every time I use it. If you are in pain and haven't found anything that works for you... definitely give this a try!

I had surgery for a torn tendon in March and have been experiencing horrific nerve pain ever since. I've been in therapy for several months and it doesn't seem to be helping much. In desperation, one night when the shooting pains were preventing me from sleeping, I remembered the capsaisin cream I had purchased some time ago. I applied it to my foot and went back to bed and slept soundly. I have been using it ever since. Maybe that's not what it was meant for, but I sure got some relief quickly.
