I first got this several months ago, I used too much and got blisters BUT if was All my fault, I stoped using it for a few months then saw it and thought I will use it sparingly because my knees and thumbs are so painful, I am soooo happy with the results that I am back for 2 more. Make sure to not overapply. I use it every 12 hours, and I make sure not to reactive it will water (shower) soon after using it or just before showering. It's taken away 90% of my pain, it's so remarkable!

I have arthritis in my shoulders and back. I use this product every day, twice a day in the morning and at night. However, if I plan to use the hot tub or if I am going to be out in the sun, I skip the morning application and only use it at night. Unlike oral pain medications, Capzasin has no side effects that I'm aware of.

I have 2 herniated discs. I used this product on my foot first and nothing happened. Then I used it on my back. Nothing. This afternoon I put it on the back of my neck and shortly thereafter my neck started burning so intensely that my grandson had to go get me ice. He told me my neck is bright red, like a sunburn. I said it takes the pain away because you have to forget your pain to deal with the burning. I don't think I'll use this again.

I have used similar capsacin products in the past and made the mistake of taking a shower 2 hours afterwards and I got what looked and felt like an honest to God sunburn. This product I put on my feet for relief from neuropathy last night and it is 10 pm now and my feet still burn like there is no tomorrow because of sweat. Do not over-apply, it does offer pain relief.

I've used this product in cream form, but the liquid form is so much easier and you don't get it on your hands. There is a burning sensation the first few times you use it, but it will go away. I use it twice a day on my back. I'm not finding it in drugstores so use drugstore.com. Highly recommend trying it...and give it a couple of weeks.

I was not impressed with this product and the buring was more than I could take and had to wash the area with dish soap and the burning lasted 2 hours even after washing with soap!! Not worth the [$] I paid!!

used this stuff once..right before going to bed. was kept awake from the pain that this stuff caused. It hurt me all day long. i got online and found others had the same problem.it felt like a severe sunburn. so i decided to dig out my solarcaine and apply it. it finally stopped the burning. i used this product on the top of my feet i suffer from rhumetoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and osteo in my knees thought this might help my feet they hurt so bad but when im on my feet they burn something awful i would not recomend this to anyone one its awful feeling.

I have used a couple of different brands of the capsacin cream in different potencies. I'm very active, cycling and rollerblading and it really helps with my "over 50" pain from arthritis and bursitis in my hip. I would recommend starting out with the lowest potency and seeing how you tolerate it. A little bit goes a long way - so don't slather it on and be careful to wash your hands thoroughly afterwards. If you do something physically active that causes you to sweat or if you're in the sun after applying it, the burning sensation will become much more pronounced. It's best to apply after activity because it does penetrate deeply and the effects linger.
