I had hopes for this product, especially given the reviews. There's plenty of literature about acne creation taking 2 weeks, so acne products really require a month of use before full effects can be known. I have moderately sensitive skin; allergic to certain preservative chemicals in fragrances. I'd been using Clearasil's Daily Face Wash, sensitive and regular, for years, plus benzoyl peroxide. Occasional salicylic acid for spot treatment. This levels my acne to small amounts of minor/small acne, and reduction of nodules to one every one or two months, and as far as nodules/cysts go, they're relatively mild. When I started using Arcona's raspberry acne bar, it was good at first. It dried my skin out and never stopped, but that dries acne. Skin never got flaky. Because it was drying, I used it once a day for a few days, then morning and night daily, consistently. It smells AMAZING (if a little strong, but it lasts). The small acne cleared up, the skin looked really good. But after about 2.5 weeks, the small acne started to appear in greater quantity than I've ever had in my life. I had bumps all over my face, with a noticeable increase in white heads, papules, and pustules. Then I got a couple of nodules. I continued using this face wash for a couple more weeks, my skin continued with the acne and nodules. I stopped using this wash, went back to my previous routine, and 2.5 weeks later, my skin finally settled back to its previous state of predictable mild acne. I don't know if I was actually just sensitive to this face wash, but it made my acne worse than it has ever been in 15 years. I think it threw the Ph balance of my skin way off. It didn't obviously irritate my skin, though, because my skin itches and flakes.

Smells great like raspberries. Is refreshing. But, a bit drying. Does not seem to help my acne though. I think it is pretty good.

i have been using arcona products forever and this soap in particular...smells awesome and lathers easily...its perfect for my acne prone oily skin leaving it toned and clear...highly recommended

Like every other product in the ARCONA line, this cleanser is a winner! It deep cleans without stripping -- my skin feels smooth and clean after using it, not tight and dry as with most acne cleansers. Along with some of the other products in the ARCONA line that I have been using for about 6 weeks now, this cleanser has transformed my skin from having frequent breakouts to only having the very rare zit. My chief complaint about this product is that it comes in bar form, and I strongly prefer liquid cleansers as they work much better with the Clarisonic skin brush I use. One last good thing about this cleanser: it smells terrific, like fresh raspberries, unlike most acne cleansers.

This is a great cleansing bar for acne prone and sensitive skin. I find it calming to my skin, and it is moisturizing without causing breakouts. While it doesn't always keep my skin completely clear (haven't found any one product that does) it certainly helps and isn't at all drying as so many of these products are. I love the natural ingredients and great smell. I cut it into sections (like a pie) to extend usage -- keep pieces dry between uses, they melt quickly. Only drawback is the high price.

Arcona cleared my adult acne within 30 days. I have tried just about every acne line available. I have very sensitive oily skin. I cut the bar in quarters. Keep the one you are using in the container covered and dry and it will last you several months.

I really like this cleanser now that I have figured out a way to get it out of the container without too much hassle. If you cut the bar into fourths and use one fourth at a time. It lasts longer and is easier to use.

I'm in my thirties and have been battling acne for the past few years. This bar did not work on my skin. It was really not worth the money. I expect an expensive bar like this to work, but it did not come through. Two good things about the bar though is that it smells really good and didnt dry out my skin.

I also love that this line is not full of harmful chemicals. In reviewing their ingredient list, which is minimal and plant based, I was sold on trying the line.

One bar of this soap lasts me about three months as long as I keep the bar dry which I do by standing or leaning it upright in the jar instead of laying it flat. It does not irritate my troubled skin (acne prone yet dry and sensative) and thoroughly removes all my makeup. I love that is all natural ingredients.
