I've used dark tanning oils all my life. My favorites, Sea & Ski and Coppertone, don't seem to be available anymore so I thought I'd try this. It's been around for a long time. It's much too thick; you could lube your car with this stuff. I avoid lotions because they feel like they clog my pores; this is just as bad. I've tried thinning it out with light mineral oil or alcohol; doesn't help. It is extremely greasy/slippery feeling. Once you get it on your hands, it's next to impossible to hold on to the bottle. Can't recommend this product.

I use this to moisturize my legs daily after a shower and especially after using a tanning booth. It keeps my legs from looking dry and dull. And it makes my tanned legs look bronzer. I also love the smell.

Well what can I say? It smelled good, helped me tan quickly with a pretty color, was very moisturizing and felt good. The only small con is the fact that it doesn't absorb fast, so you'll have yummy smelling grease wherever you sit at times. I seriously love this though.

The one and only tanning/sun product that -not only does the smell not make me sick/nauseated/give me a headache/smell like chemicals/make me wonder if it's safe, stink for two days after you wash it off - I actually ENJOY the smell. There are hardly any smells that I can tolerate, including the dreadful smell of some of the "fragrance free" items (which is ridiculous!), but to a find a smell that I like and doesn't cause a bad allergic reaction is just wonderful, absolutely fabulous. I wish they had a whole line of this with every level of SPF available. I also love the regular "old fashioned: squeeze it out until it's empty bottle. You can always get it out, always the amount you want, and the lid comes off if you are desperate. They have this in a pump which is not bad either because if it does clog, you can twist off the sprayer and still use it. All the other spray bottles - especially "continuous spray" are continuous until they clog and then your only option after trying everything under the sun to unclog it is to throw away your half full $10-50 bottle of sunscreen and buy a new one - no thanks. I learned that lesson and won't waste my money anymore. Hawaiian Tropic could outlast everyone in this business because they keep it simple and it's just like it has always been - just a simple suntan oil that has simple enough ingredients that they can still make it smell good like you went to the beach rather than a chemical factory. Their Sunscreen lotion, same thing but a lotion with SPF, simple bottle that always works, same logo and look so you always know you are getting what you went there to buy rather than wondering if this wierd looking new bottle with all these banners and claims is the same sunscreen or lotion or oil you bought last season and loved but repackaged in a "hip" new bottle with all the claims of a fly by night trendy product or is it something completely different-a new product that you did not set out to buy. when I like something, I also like to be able to identify it and Hawaiian Tropic has got that perfected. I've been looking at sunscreens for an hour and finally got to Hawaiian Tropic and barely need to read it because I know what they all are. This is great, use it over a high spf to give you that coconut smell and slightly moisturized glowing Hawaiian Tropic Skin!

This smells heavenly! Like the beach,coconut, and old-school tanning lotion scent. Not like a sweet tropical drink. I use it as a body oil after I bathe and it leaves my skin glowing, smelling wonderful and the scent lasts all day. Remember this does not have any SPF so I would suggest only using it on top of a waterproof sunscreen if you'll be outdoors.

I have extremely dry skin and now that it is getting colder, this stuff WORKS when others have failed. I use this stuff year round...I don't bother with lotions anymore. I love the scent--it is very relaxing and not overbearing. HT makes some really great stuff...give it a shot! I did and I'm not going back to the others. KUDOS!

I wish they would make a body butter, shower and bath gel and even a perfume and/or body splash that smelled like this stuff. I have been searching for something similar smelling, but have yet to find that ideal coconut & fruit balance that is this oil. Anyone know of anything?

True story on the bottle lasting years; I've had mine for four and I'm only about three-quarters of the way through it. Enhances my ability to tan about five-fold--and I tan exceedingly well. Smell is lovely; I adore the scent of coconuts.

The most exotic, rich oil on the market, which produces the deepest, darkest tan! Its very thick and long-lasting on the skin. The smell is lush and tropical, totally intoxicating!! Please note however, THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY SUNSCREEN! SPF = ZERO!!!! This is not meant for fair skinned people. If you burn, do not use this product in the sun! Be very careful at the beach (as opposed to a pool) because the sun rays are so different and prolonged sun exposure will almost definitely result in a burn even if you have a good base tan. Just be smart about it. Another use is right out of the shower on wet skin... I slather this on (as long as you have a few minutes to allow it to absorb a bit). Its the best body moisturizer Ive EVER used- leaves you baby soft and smelling fantastic all day. It also prolongs your tan.
