I really like this product and it does help my bad breath. However, after long-term use, it has begun making my teeth overly sensitive. I imagine this is due to the fact that it depletes the mouth of saliva. Saliva protects the teeth and gums from decay and loss of enamel. I now have had to cut down my use to only once in a while which stinks--literally lol! My breath is not fresh without it but I must protect my enamel.

I don't know if I'm hyper-sensitive to zinc, but this mouthwash leaves an awful, metallic taste in my mouth for a full 24 hours after I've used it. I tried another mouthwash that also contains zinc chloride, and the same thing happened. I have dumped both brands of mouthwash down the drain.

Don't let the price discourage you. it is so effective you truly will gladly keep this product in stock in your home. It will keep your breath fresh the entire day, and like the product says you will wake up to find your breath is still fresh. I love it. I read about this product and decided to try it more for my husband than myself. However, after using it myself, I found that I have much more confidence in talking to co-workers and friends throughout the entire day. And, for a few mornings, I asked my husband how my breath was. Guess what? No morning breath. I couldn't believe it. My husband has terrible bad breath due to some stomach issues. I think he would find it just as effective if he would use it on a regular basis. When he does use it, his breath seems fresher for a longer period of time. The only con is that it will leave your mouth very dry for several minutes to an hour or so. And, if you eat or drink immediately after using, food and drinks will have an off taste. However, this does go away within 30 minutes or so. I've repurchased this product and will continue to purchase. Drugstore.com has the best price anywhere online and in stores.

I just tried this today and I am hooked! My breath is still fresh and I have been at work for almost 12 hours! This is after I've had dinner and a couple small snacks! I'm not sure that it will stand up to powerful onion or garlic odors but that's nothing another rinse probably couldn't fix. I also don't like that fact that it comes in two seperate bottles but overall I love this stuff. SmartMouth, you have a customer for life! Just wish it wasn't so expensive.
