It's the only acne treatment cream that I've used that moisturizes and isn't sticky. It smells like cucumbers which I love. It works great as a moisturizer in the summer but I find that I need an additional one in the winter (up here in frigid Minnesota). I find it not the most powerful of treatments, but it doesn't overdry and doesn't irritate my skin! I'm always trying new products, but this is one I'm sticking with! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

This is a hydrating acne treatment. It treats acne, hydrates skin and reduces redness. It's light and doesn't leave face sticky or over dry. I use it up to 3 times a day and have never had dryness or peeling. It's a combination acne treatment and hydrater. Used with the 2 in1 spot treatment it takes care of zits quickly without redness or peeling. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

It treats and prevents my breakouts without being harsh or drying like spot treatments or other acne creams. The salacylic acid is the perfect acne treatment for us older women with acne that cannot take the drying from benzoyl peroxide.  Not so muchby audeespicey in Hollidaysburg, PA on 8/9/09Cons: Ineffective, Irritates Skin Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Bottom Line: not recommended I do well with Neutrogena's anti-wrinkle products; they do what they claim and make me look better--that's what it's all about, right? I bought this moisturiser because it contains salicylic acid, a must-have for my skin.
If it contains salicylic acid, I couldn't tell you where it's hidden in the product. Granted, this lotion smells great and feels fantastic going on. And for the first day, everything's okay. But if I persist, I will get a breakout on my cheeks on the second day, every single time.
I bought this product in May; it's now August, and I've tried it at a good time of the month for my skin for an entire quarter of a year now. The same results happen, every time.
So with about 6 light applications missing from the tube, I'm giving up. Money wasted--and that's a real disappointment when it comes to Neutrogena products. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I absolutely LOVE this stuff!!! I'm now middle aged (UGH) and thought there'd be a time between acne & wrinkles, not both at the same time. I have moderately oily skin, but can get dry on the cheeks. This stuff isn't too harsh like many products for acne, it even smells good (like cucumbers) and hydrates while helping to clear zits. Not sure if it would work on severe acne as it only has 2% salicylic acid, but for moderate and/or adult acne, the strength seems a great balance between effective & soothing! My local stores stopped carrying it & I was thrilled to find it on drugstore.com!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Great product with one flaw... by Ashley in Richmond VA on 7/28/09Pros: Doesnt irritate skin, Easy To Use, Soothing, Works Effectively Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Inflammatory Acne, Moderate Acne, Severe Acne, Teen Acne Bottom Line: recommended This product was very great and cleared up most of my acne and ive been looking for things for almost a year! This really does work give it a chance. The only thing is that under my eyes the product made them black and swell up. I checked the back of the bottle and it DID say not to use by sensitive eye area. Also do NOT let it soak into your skin for a minute. I do that with most acne medications to help it penetrate deeper faster but this is so powerful it will just dry and irritate your skin. however it will not dry and irritate your skin if you leave it on for a couple seconds. I would reccomend this to people with sensitive skin I have roscea ( a fairly common skin disease that makes your face red.) and this worked for me without irritating it. good luck! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
