this is the best by far. i usually have very sensitive skin so stay away from scrubs but this leaves me with fabulous skin.
I still have small breakouts but they aren't as red and don't last as long
this is the best product and i would recommend it to anyone

I have used many cleansers over the years, and this one sadly disappoints. Even thought this is a "scrub" with beads, it never took all of my makeup off at night, and by makeup, I mean foundation and concealer. I always had to take the rest of my makeup off by washing my face again with another cleanser (clean&clear, which ALWAYS works) or with toner. I don't think I've ever had this problem with any other cleanser before, so I felt like I HAD to write a review about it. Otherwise, the smell is nice, and the cleanser feels nice. It lightly moisturizes, and I think I will only use it in the mornings, when my face is basically clean already. It's kinda like washing your face with lotion... with a few scrubbing beads thrown in. Obviously, since it didn't even clean my face, it didn't make any noticeable difference acne-wise. Won't buy again, and wouldn't recommend to anyone that is actually trying to clean their face, rather than just moisturize or soothe.
I use this on my face and chest to combat those nasty little white zits so I can't speak to how it works on full blown acne, but it certainly keeps you clear of the average break outs. I am in my 40's, and still get breakouts on my t zone or on my chest/cleavage. Yep. Aging is even more fun than I imagined. Zits and wrinkles! I like this because it keeps my skin clear but it is not drying. Good product....my 17 year old uses it as well, but of course our after wash routines are very different.
I have used this product for several years to combat oily and acne-prone skin. In terms of the product's effectiveness, I don't have major complaints. I used it as part of my daily shower routine. It feels fresh and invigorating and helps control oiliness for several hours. It does lead to dryness and irritation initially so should be used in combination with a facial moisturizer, in my case an oil-free one. My reason for the two star review and discontinued use stems from one ingredient I never even considered all these years: the polyethylene used for the exfoliating microbeads. I have researched the negative environmental impact caused by these non-biodegradable plastic beads and see no reason why I should continue using this or similar microbead products in lieu of other natural exfoliators that also contain salycilic acid. I am now exploring my options. Neutrogena is a fine and respected brand, I look forward to the day when it finds an environmentally-responsible solution to this issue.
I love this scrub. I don't like spending lots of money on my skin, (and it isn't that expensive) but this is definetly something to get. I use it 2-3 times a week, depending on if I am having breakouts or not. I use it on the shower while I wash my hair, so it really gets time to sink in. It is an awesome exfoliator. (the reason I only use it a few times a week)It is really creamy and has very small little beads, so you don't get the sandpaper effect. This product has lasted me quite awhile and it has a terrific smell. It doesn't smell so minty, that it is overwhelming, but just right. BUY IT!!!
this product has made my skin really soft and has reduced the redness. it didnt really get rid of my acne but it deffinetly got rid of my giant whiteheads pimples i usually got around my mouth, and when i did break out the pimples would go away alot faster. its a little too rough to use everyday but it still is very affective and i am going to keep buying it.
I'm 20 years old, and I have had breakouts since around age 10. I've tried it all; Pro Activ, Murad,etc. I picked this up one day in desperation because I had huge painful zits all over my face (which honestly wasn't unusual) and I could not be more pleased and surprised with the results. It cleared up all my large zits in just a couple of days, and it feels so nice, and cooling. For people who say it doesn't work, try using a different product to wash off your makeup first, THEN use this. It WORKS! I PROMISE.
This cleanser is a lotion-based cleanser with scrubbing beads. I used it 3 times and it took several weeks for my acne-prone skin to recover from the mass breakouts and blackheads caused by this product. Definitely not for people with acne-prone skin, regardless of what it is called. Neutrogena has half a dozen much better options for oily, acne-prone skin. Could be good for someone with very dry skin who wants a gentle scrub.
