Indications
For the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains, bruises, and sprains.
Warnings
For external use only. Do not use on damaged skin, on wounds or with a heating pad. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens, symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clears up and occurs again within a few days. When using this product avoid contact with eyes, do not bandage tightly, avoid inhaling dried residue material from application site which may cause sneezing, nasal irritation or tearing.

I had tried every kind of arthritis rub on the market. Some just burned my skin but gave no real relief. I read about Castiva in Dr. Gott's column in the local newspaper and had to give it a try. With regular use, I can straighten one finger that has been crooked from arthritis for years. I prefer the cooling lotion because I can put it on my hands at night and wear sleep gloves for maximum benefit. Everyone with arthritis should give it a try!

It is moderately effective, but is REALLY GREASY, which stands to reason with a castor oil base, so it's not good for painful hands and leaves residue on clothes and sheets. Also, the package claims it is odor free, but it is not. It is not a bad smell, but strong enough I would not use it in the daytime. I have found others that are at least as effective,if not more, with no smell.

It relieves the pain for hours.
I know it doesn't wash off hands easy and that also means it doesnt come off the area you put it on. But it also burns if you forget and touch your eyes.
I use as I said above disposible gloves.
I love this product. Gave some to my sister for her back pain and she orders it faithfully also.

I got this product as a sample and it really worked. Couldn't find it in any stores so was pleased to find it at drugstore.com I ordered two and shared one tube with family. Best pain reliever in a cream that I have found.

This is the absolute best for long-acting arthritis relief. Warming agent with no lingering smell.
Adults and Children 12 years of age and older: Apply to affected are no more than 3 or 4 times daily. To achieve optimum pain relief, apply daily as directed. Transient burning may occur upon application, but generally disappears in several days. Wash hands thoroughly after use to avoid spreading lotion to the eyes or other sensitive areas of the body. If applying lotion to hands, wait 30 minutes before washing hands.
