I initially bought these to use in my third grade classroom, but I've found so many more uses. My third graders use them to store math tiles, and they have lasted beautifully. The little tab makes it easy for the kids to open, and they snap closed preventing "runaway tiles."
I also use them in packing my own lunch. They're great for storing the condiments like salsa or mayo. They're small enough to hold what I need without being a waste. Cleaning is easy. I just rinse them out and throw them in the top rack of the dishwasher.

These are very difficult to open. I bought these for my daughter's school lunches, but they didn't work for her. I tried opening one and the tab on the lid tore before it came off the bottom. I used them myself for yogurt; the lids are difficult to clean as the food gets stuck in the "GLAD" lettering on the lid as well as the interlocking design. The lids do interlock but seem more trouble than they're worth. Overall disappointing.

They are just the size I need. I'm making my own variations to GUY'S KICKIN' QUESADILLA and these are what I needed. The only drawback is you can't stack them.

It is hard to find containers this small. When you are on an extremely strict diet, these containers help with portion size.

I wanted small containers to take to work for my lunch. These are small and liquid tight, exactly what I needed. The only con, if it counts, they are so light they don't stay put in the dishwasher.
Comments about Gladware Containers & Lids, Mini Round, 8 ea:
I often find myself needing to save very small amounts of partly used foods, like nuts, tomato paste, chopped celery, canned fruit, etc. in my refrigerator. This is the only storage container which is small enough not to waste a whole bunch of space. The lids and empty containers stack fine separately in a cupboard, but, unfortunately, they're not designed to stack when they are filled and closed. (The bottoms don't sit well on the top of the lid of the one beneath it, making them too tippy to stack.) This would be an easy redesign, so I'm suprised the mfr. hasn't done it after reading all the complaints.
They wash fine by hand. I don't have a dishwasher, so I wouldn't know about that.

I bought these to transport baby food. I'll be making my own and need something small that I can travel with. It seems like it will to the job. The only thing that I see maybe being a problem is that the lids snap on instead of twist, so it may not stay on as well. They are a great size for storing lots of other stuff as well.

I use these mostly for portion control. 4 oz is the best size if you are going for weight loss or maintenance. I use the containers to store 4 oz portions of chicken and ground turkey so I can cook it up for breakfast with little fuss. I also use it to portion out chili or beef barley for lunch. Half the container 2 oz works great to to take nuts on the go. I actually bought enough to give to a friend who asked where I got them. My store no longer carries them by I found them here online.

I use these to freeze baby food for my son. They wash well in the dishwasher, but we need to keep them clipped in the dishwasher or in a basket so they don't flip over. Overall, they're not super sturdy, but they microwave and freeze well.

Wash food storage containers before use. To lock lids together for easy storage, just place 1 lid on a flat surface and a second lid of the same shape on top. Gently press down on the button in the center of the top lid until you feel the 2 lids connect. Repeat this process to lock additional lids onto the stack.
