Excellent product for targeted relief. It not only calms my eyes but this seems to calm my nasal area which helps calm my throat. It can interrupt an escalating cycle. It does not sting as I have found the store brands to do. I have used this product for many years beginning when it was only available as prescription.

Alaway drops are great at reducing allergic reactions of eyes to pollen, animals, etc. If symptoms have already started the drops will sting. But you'll know they're working and you'll soon get relief.

This brand seems to usually be priced lower than another name brand with the same active ingredient. So I choose Alaway for price, and that its active ingredient is Ketotifen.

What I don't like is that the directions are not printed on the bottle but only on the box. Who keeps the box? Use ONE drop twice a day. Many eye drops require two drops at a time, so you might forget. I've been using two drops (by mistake) and had some irritation/drying. Now that I'm back to one drop, I'm getting better results.

This was the worst oak pollen season in Florida I can remember and these drops were such a relief to the itching, mucus and swollen eyes I was experiencing. I have at least 3 types of prescription drops from the allergist and had tried everything over the counter I could find. Nothing touched it until Alaway. Its great!

My doctor said it would work better than the Rx I was using and it does. I think it expensive but the relief it brings is worth the price. I use it every morning and again in the late afternoon to relieve the itching and redness my allergies cause. Of course, since it is a liquid, it also helps my dry eyes a bit.

Being this can only be used every 8 to 12 hours - I would not recommend this as it works for about 30 minutes and then wears away. Use Bausch & Lomb's Opcon A which works better and you can use 4 times a day. Of course things work differently for each person. So maybe it works good for some.

This product stings a bit if you have been rubbing your eyes. If you have been rubbing, put the drop in your eye and close your eye for 5-10 seconds. Then do the other eye. Use it AM and PM to keep eye itch in check. VERY SOOTHING. Relieves itch immediately. GREAT STUFF!

I have a terrible itchy eye condition that took very expensive drops to control, until I found Alaway. Once a day and my eyes feel great!

I only use this when the itching from allergies is persistant. Overuse of any of these type of products can be harmful. So, if just plain saline "natural tears" type drops will work for my dry eyes - I use that. I have another kind I use to "get the red out" allergy version and it helps with the red a lot and the itching some. But, if the "red" is not my main concern and the itching is pretty bad, I use this. Note: this product does not get the "red out" at all, but it does work well for itch - especially if you don't over use it.
