I had loved my Neti Pot until it got crushed when I moved. The replacement I ordered is NOT what is pictured on the box. What is pictured on the box it what it USED TO BE. Now it is a much harder, darker blue plastic. The two halves are seamed together very badly and the product literally comes apart at the seams and it leaks all over. Replacements received and all had the exact same problem. Neil Med, say goodbye to an unhappy customer who will not allow you to take my money for a piece of garbage product. I gave it one star because it wouldn't let me leave a big fat zero.

I rely daily on this neti-pot. My sinuses get so bad on a regular basis they're completely blocked -- when I try to pour the saline/distilled water solution through my nostrils, nothing gets through. At that point, I'm able to clear out my sinuses using just one small neti-pot full. I "pour" a little on both sides, blow, pour a little on both sides, blow.....I do this 3 or 4 times on both sides and by the end of the neti-pot water is flowing freely through both nostrils!

The one detraction for me is having to stand and twist my back to use the pot most effectively. I use a wheelchair but can stand supported for short periods of time. I end up doing so with this neti-pot while leaning on the sink. And I end up having to twist my back as the water gets low in the neti-pot, which is painful for me. I CAN do it sitting, but I tend to get water all over me and I have yet to do it as well as when standing. I bought a SinuPulse to address this problem. It solves the problem, but this neti-pot is more effective for me 90% of the time. I bought a neti-pot of a different design and I ended up greatly preferring this one -- I never use the other anymore. The standing & twisting is well worth it!

Excellent product but remember to use with distilled or filtered water. I have not used decongestants since I began using the product.

I have these available for my patients to buy at a cheaper price at the time of service. This enhances complaints. My medical assistant demonstrates how to use it to decrease the fear of putting water up their nose! My staff all use the Netie pot daily and we no longer suffer with allergic rhinitis that turn into sinusitis. No more sick days for my patients and my staff!

I just ordered this from Afghanistan. I've got one back in the states and LOVE it. I don't know why I didn't bring it here with me. The dust and sand here got to me and cause some pretty nasty sinus drainage. The whole time i was dealing with that, I kept wishing I had my neti pot. It's great for those with allergies as a preventive measure. Use as often as you want b/c there are no side effects. It just may be an odd feeling the first time you use it (b/c of the warm water going through your head), but it feels so great after you use it.

I like the pre-packaged and measured solution you add to the water, it is convenient. This is my first Neti Pot and experience with nasal irrigation. I had terrible congestion that eventually became a very painful sinus infection. Using the Neti Pot twice a day for about a week has pretty much cleared that right up!
I did find that it leaked/dripped a bit. I'm not sure if it was coming from around the lid or from the small air-hole on the top, or if I was tilting too far. Not a deal breaker, but made it a bit messier.
I think I would go for a non-plastic one next time, just personal preference. However plastic is nice if you are concerned about dropping or breakage.

Based on the other reviews, I thought this was going to be some kind of miracle allergy relief/cure for me. Sadly, it wasn't. It's effective in that it works to clear the congestion while I'm using it. Within minutes though, I'm congested again. I used this twice a day, even doubling the solution as it was suggested in the directions and it's still not effective enough for me. I still can barely breathe through my nose. So, I'm off to my allergist to find some real relief. However, I don't mean to scare anyone off from trying this since it has worked wonders for others. Just know there's a chance it may not give you the relief you're looking for...

I started using my Netipot at the recommendation of my allergy doctor because I get frequent sinus infections. It really helps clean out the congestion. I also like to use it after being outside when the pollen count is high. Plus, it's very soothing in the winter when my nose gets dry and irritated. I especially appreciated it when I was pregnant and was avoiding pills for cold/sinus symptoms. The only cons: it is awkward to use at first and your nose will drip for a few minutes afterward.
