Nothing else seems to prevent breakouts for my combination skin. My skin used to get little whiteheads on my nose and big red zits everywhere else, especially my chin. Now I use makeup removing wipes at night and Morning Burst in the morning. I love the smell. It helps wake me up and put me in a good mood. Leaves my skin feeling great - not greasy & not too dry. Love it!

I have no problem with the way this product works, but I can't get over the smell. I was using the green bottle (I think it's lemongrass), but it smells exactly like scrubbing bubbles, the toilet bowl cleaner. I just couldn't stand to rub that on my face every day - yuck!

I would recommend this product in any other scent, though (like the orange bottle - I forget the name of that one).

I bought this to replace the no-longer-available Biore shine control. This does not eliminate shine at all. Not even right after washing with it. It is okay as a regular face soap, and I did not find it to be harsh or drying -on the contrary. I use it when ever I want a quick wash, as it lathers easy & rinses easy.

As a previous reviewer stated, be wary of parabens if you have sensitive skin. This product is loaded with them. I began experiencing cystic acne which I have not had in ten years while using this product. I tried removing various items from my beauty routine to eliminate the acne to no avail. A week ago I chose a cleanser free of parabens, and this has made a world of difference. My skin has already visibly improved. Also, this product is not effective at controlling shine as it states. In my case, it only made it worse, and almost ruined my skin.

Firstly, this does not really help with pimples a lot, but it does a good job preventing more pimples. I've been using this twice a day for about a month or two and my skin has improved very much. I'm not the one to care for a pimple or two, but this is very nice. Make sure to use it consistently or you'll end up with many pimples. I've noticed this does a good job at keeping pimples away from my forehead and nose. But it is not a miracle worker, therefore leaving me with a few pimples and blackheads.. Smells decent, leaves me feeling fresh and clean, but it is quite messy. Overall I would rate it four out of five stars.

NOTE: Just because this stuff worked great for me doesn't mean it will work great for you!

I have eczema on my neck and eyelids, an oily nose and forehead, and dry cheeks/jaw. My skin is really temperamental. I finally found a combination that works! This face wash (just once a day, in the morning), followed by a sensitive skin Lush (if the brand name gets starred out, let's just say it's an organic, young-ish demographic, natural, non-department-store brand) moisturizer, and one of the Clean&Clear (if starred out, the same brand as the face wash I'm reviewing) oil absorbing sheets at night. With this combination, my otherwise pain-in-the-bottom skin is calm and relatively un-terrifying.

This face wash is great - it doesn't give you that awful squeaky-clean sensation of being too dry, but it does get rid of the excess oil. I use a full pump for my neck and face, combined.

*I called myself a brand buyer, but really I am a budget-brand buyer. I wouldn't spend a ton of money on a specific brand unless I KNEW that the cheaper ones would screw up my skin

I've tried the orange version as well, and I'm very disappointed in both. Parabens almost always, without fail, cause my skin to break out in Adult Acne. Not only does it look bad, but it's uncomfortable and sometimes painful.
Also contains WITCH HAZEL. For some, Witch Hazel works great as a toner. Not I! On my sensitive, oily AND flaky, acne-prone combination skin, it is horrible. It makes the skin dry, tight, and weather-sensitive (easily chapped and burned).

Honestly, I'm totally baffled as to why there isn't a warning on the packaging of skin products containing hazardous material. There is on cigarettes. Go figure.

IMPORTANT: This product contains PARABEN(S). Parabens (a preservative found in many cosmetics) have been known to produce tumors in breasts. IE: BREAST CANCER. Men are just as susceptible as women.

USE at your own RISK. Soaps and other products that rinse off of the skin are a bit less likely to be harmful than those that don't (deodorant, lotions, etc.). None the less, inform yourself, and ALWAYS check ingredients.

i have really oily skin which naturally has a lot of shine. i tried this product to eliminate the shine particularly on my t-zone. this product got rid of the shine alright...it completely dried my skin out. a few days into using this product, my face started to feel tight and itchy. then it got so dry that it started to flake. to go from having oily skin to flakingly dry skin tells me that this product is way too harsh to use. i would definitely not buy this again.

I love it, it doesnt control shine as much as I would like it to, but it does better than what I was using before, so I cant complain. :)
