I LIKE CLEAN AND CLEAR I HAVE THE SHINE CONTROL CLEANSER ONE,BUT I DO NOT LIKE THIS ONE. FIRST OF ALL IT MAKES YOU FEEL VERY IRRITATED WHEN YOU STEP OUT THE SHOWER,I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE I JUST TRYED IT FOR ONE DAY BUT IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY. I HATE IT WHEN CLEANSERS/SCRUBS/EXFOLIATORS MAKE YOUR SKIN IRRITATED. THEN IT WAS TIGHT EVEN WHEN I APPLIED MY OLAY MOISTURIZER. AND MY FACE NEVER FEELS LIKE THAT WITH MY OLAY FOAMING FACE WASH FOR SENSITIVE SKIN. IT FEELS CLEAN AND CALM,FINALLY AFTER I WASH MY FACE IT FELT GREASY AFTER TWO HOURS. I SAID OH NO THATS IT!!! I HAVE OILY SKIN AND WHEN MY FACE GETS OILY/GREASY IT'S TIME TO CALL IT QUITS. SO I THREW IT IN A PLASTIC BAG AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE AND GOT MY ORIGINAL BRAND OLAY. I GUESS IT'S NOT FOR SENSTIVE SKIN,BUT IT ALSO FEELS OILY TO SO THEY NEED TO WIPE OFF THE "OIL FREE" LOGO.

works well-a little drying

i used this while on vacation this summer at my families house. i was unhappy with my neutrogena so i used my cousin's clean and clear (this product) i was incredibly happy with the outcome. i had no breakouts and my face felt fresh pretty much all day! i gave it 4 stars because it did dry my skin out a tad, but a simple moisturizer fixed that. i just wish i could have taken this home as my vacation souvieneir.

So my skin isn't horrible, I get random pimples. My skin is a little sensitive, but nothing major. I've just always used proactiv and it has kept my skin generally clear, but it DID make it very red and dry. So I wanted to try something new and something cheaper. I bought this wash. Well it did nothing for me. My skin broke out terribly. My skin hasn't broken out like this in years. I thought it was an initial breakout... but it lasted like 4 weeks. My skin was bright red and little whiteheads and way oily-er then normal. No fun. I randomly found something called Neaclear and in just one day my skin has started clearing up, and returned to a normal color! I love Johnson & Johnson but this wash just wasn't for me :(

My sister always kept this in her shower, and when I went down to visit her, I would always use it and liked it. So finally, I bought some for myself so I could use it regularly, and I am in love with it. I actually had used proactiv for about two years prior, and its results were nothing compared to this cleanser. I use it with the "regular" Clean & Clear moisturizer, and I also have the astringent, but it tends to dry out my skin, so I only use that every few days. My only downfall is that it does dry out my skin a bit, but the moisturizer works great for that. Also my skin is pretty sensitive around the creases beside my nostrils, and this is slightly irritative, but doesn't kill me. So I would recommend this to anybody except those with extra sensitive skin. Also, I've never had a problem getting it to foam, that part is great. I think you should use more water if you're having problems with it.

I have combination skin and I use this everyday. It really help keep my t-one oil-free without making the rest of my face dry. I gave it 4 stars because the tip of my nose is sensitive and it ittitates it from time to time. Would definitely buy again.

This is a good product. I have been using it now for about a year or so... maybe a little longer. It does keep me acne free but my skin is pretty dry afterwards (not as bad as the Clean and Clear with scrub). I just use that as my excuse to wear sunblock on my face which is really needed. I am deployed to Iraq right now and a good cleanser is a must. I used that ol' "3-step system" for a while and I still had small breakouts. Then I started using this and I have been alright since, except for those time-of-the-month zits that come along. I guess it couldn't beat nature.

I have very complicated skin, and I really love this product. I have tried everything, and products with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide always dried out my skin so much! That would just make my face try to compensate by producing more oil. I didn't want to use topical antibiotics anymore, because they really don't have a comprehensive antibacterial spectrum. They seemed to have stopped working. And any astringent "toner" usually dries out my face. I use this every morning on my face, neck, shoulders, and back with a gentle Buf-Puf. I have been almost completely acne-free for months now, except for the occasionally stress pimple. I only gave 4 stars because sometimes my skin is left a little dry. I use a small amount of Oil of Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream with the Beta Hydroxy complex lightly on my face afterward. Like I said, acne-free for months! I'm very pleased.

This product really surprised me. It was not like the other products that I used that makes my skin oilier. It foams in seconds and washed out so well. I would tell people that it's for oily skin because of its oil free formula. Best product I have ever used for acne!
