I read the reviews before purchasing and decided to buy because of the reviews. Used it 2 days ago just to touch up my Gray roots and it worked like a charm. Used the haircolor bottle and just screwed on the comb and went to town. Was able to just do my roots. This will save me sooooo much time and money! The rest of my hair hardly got wet or colored!

I thought I'd try this product to touch up my roots, since I only do root touch up when I color. I have long (past shoulders), thick, coarse hair and I didn't have any problem running it though my hair like some others have said. I just made sure to thoroughly brush and comb my hair first. It was easy to use and not messy at all. I tried only using half a bottle of hair color and it worked pretty well. The tip fit on my Clairol Balsom bottle perfectly. Clean up was not hard either. As soon as I finished I filled the bottle with HOT water and shook vigorously and then sqeezed water through the comb part. Just a couple of times is all it took to get it clean. I also thought that my root touch-up was much better blended in, not as noticable as usual. The only problem I had with this item is that I noticed some missed spots on the back of my head, may have been my fault. Maybe with some more practice I will do better.

This product may be good if you want to color all of your hair but I only color my roots each time. I found it messy and hard to use in that respect. As you squeeze the bottle it is difficult to control where the dye goes. It gets everywhere including the parts of your hair that don't need to be colored! I imagine if you want to comb the color through your hair each time, it would work. I am always willing to try new things - especially if they make my life easier. However, in this case, I threw the dispenser away and went back to the old system.

I cover a few grays once every couple of months or so. With Comb-a-color, I only needed half as much coloring product and about half as much time as when I used a traditional brush-and-bowl system. Minimal spatter, except when squeezing too hard. Super easy to clean.

Very handy and easy to use. Much easier than the applicators supplied with products. Have arthritis in hands, this makes application much easier. Must rinse it thoroughly before solution dry in the tiny holes.

I love this product instead of using the bottle that came in the package I just screwed on the comb to the bottle of dye and it worked great after use I just had to wash out the comb.
