My crown fell off a week or two ago, and I've been using this stuff to keep the crown on. I know it says you should see a dentist within 48 hours...and that's because this stuff only works for 48 hours max! It can't be the same stuff dentists use because when dentists do it, the crown actually stays on! I guess the dentists have to make money somehow. In my experience with this product, you can NOT eat without your crown falling out, unless you carefully chew on the side opposite your loose dental fixture.

HOWEVER, the competitor's product that I tried did absolutely nothing! At least temparin max holds my crown on for a day or two as long as I don't brush it vigorously or eat on it.

It has held a crown in place for months, but needs to be cemented permanently. A temporary filling fell out several hours after dentist put it in exposing a deep excavation. I have been using this product for weeks and find it lasts about a week protecting the tooth. Dentist said it's almost the same as they use. It certainly works better than what the dentist is using. I don't dry my tooth and make sure is it moist. This material sets up with moisture.

This has been a must-have product at times when I've had a filling escape (usually from grinding and gnashing).

I use it when I have pain from a missing cavity or eroded spot and can't get to a dentist immediately. In my experience it adheres better and lasts longer than the regular version. The instructions say to floss soon after applying, but I've had better luck waiting at least a few hours. For maximum product life, make sure you don't get any moisture in the container.

I haven't tried it with a lost crown, but it does a pretty good job of filling regular holes in my teeth, including spots where I've nearly worn through the enamel from bruxism. I keep it on hand at all times.

I use it to hold a broken cap on. It's easy to use and carry around in my pocket. I wish I could buy the regular Temparin and not just the Max because I use it everyday and the cost of the Max is to high. The regular worked just fine.

Finace' bought this for me after my filling fell out about 2 months prior.... I couldn't get to the dentist due to finacial reasons. First application was a breeze and I took a nap for about 2 hours... When I woke up.. The temp. filling was set and firm and I was ready to rock N ROll for about 8 days. I just replaced it today. Good product. As with anything... Make sure the exp. date is still good. You wouldn't buy expried Milk now would ya ??

Have used this to replace both lost fillings and loosened crowns and it works extremely well. It actually lasts a long time- over a few months until I can afford to see a dentist.

I am really heated!! I got this product for my husband for use until he could get a dentist appointment. It kept crumbling and coming out. Whe I looked at the package for information I noticed that the expiration date said 2004!!! Please check and make sure what you purchased is no OLD! Shame on you Drugstore.com!

The product was needed because my amalgam fillings were previously covered by a professional dentist with similar product.Over time the covering eroded.Dentek purports that this product is the same as what Dentists use.I purchased this in hopes it would last a few weeks before seeing a Dentist.

Unfortunately this OTC product did'nt harden as directed.I followed the directions and even waited longer for it to dry as an extra precaution.It crumbled into bad-tasting clumps and was difficult to clean off the gums.

I emailed the company with my concerns and Dentek did'nt respond.The 1-800 line was always busy.
