Although I don't have a condition that warrants prescription medication, this particular product was practically useless to me. It didn't seem to prevent breakouts, at least not compared to the other competitor's products I've tried. | I'm thirty years old and ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/17/04I'm thirty years old and until about two years ago had adult acne that I had a hard time controlling. The acne was on my face, throat and chest.
Harsh acne treatments severely irritated my skin, so I went to my doctor. He suggested using a low dose of benzoyl peroxide and not mixing it with any other acne medications and then using a moisturizer over it to prevent drying.
I got this product and started using it at night (using it on your chest or anywhere under clothing can bleach the clothing, so I don't use it during the day). Steady and consistent use has proven to work. The acne isn't completely gone, but after the first few months of using this, I started wearing low-neck shirts for the first time in years! I use it liberally all over my face, throat and chest every night. It's the only commonly available product I could find with such a low dose of benzoyl peroxide. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
