Excellent when used all over by Meagan in Missouri on 12/22/08Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively Cons: Bleaches Fabric Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Adult Acne, Moderate Acne, Teen Acne Bottom Line: recommended This is a great product to use every morning and night. I wash my face in the morning with Clean and Clear Morning Burst, in circles for about a minute, really concentrating on the problem areas. I do the same thing at night. Every four days or so, I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub to really deep clean, massaging gently again, in circles, for about a minute. I follow this with Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment, ALL OVER. You don't need much, and for the first week or so it is extremely drying, but if you follow it with a good moisturizer (I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion, with SPF, Alpha Hydroxy) you'll be okay. STAY AWAY FROM THE EYES! I use Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream around my eyes to keep them healthy. I've been doing this routine since about June 2008, and even though it made the breakouts worse at first, that only lasted about two weeks as my skin purged the oil. Now my skin is amazing and it makes me feel so much better about myself. I have never felt better about myself with such a cheap routine. Please, just give it a try. And remember, you have to do it morning and night to see results. No skipping! [...]
Best kept secret. by Sfloridafair in Florida on 12/4/08Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Blackheads & Whiteheads, Inflammatory Acne, Moderate Acne Bottom Line: recommended I have been using this product for three years on my acne. I do not ust it as a spot treatment as advertized, instead I use it all over. I apply it all over my face once in the morning and once at night. I tried this method after reading that any low prcentage benzol peroxide cream (this one is like 2.5 i think) applied daily will reduce acne. i searched for creams like this and found only this one within my price range. The trick is that it is mild unlike many commercial treatments that are 10% active ingredient. If you apply this all over your face twice to even three times daily your acne WILL BE NO MORE! Be aware that at first your skin will go through a transitional period of dryness, redness, and perhaps more break outs due to irritation-I only experienced the redness and dryness. No matter what happens stick to it because soon your skin will get used to the product and look better than ever. it also kind bleaches out your skin a bit which will reduce old acne scars or red marks...and for this reason KEEP IT AWAY FROM YOUR EYEBROWS! it will lighten them if you leave the creme on them all night.
Made my pimples 3 times worst. by geo in Queens, New York City on 12/4/08Pros: Easy To Use Cons: Dries Out Skin, Irritates Skin Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Adult Acne, Moderate Acne Bottom Line: not recommended First of all. . i only had few acne on my my neck part due to my facial hair and razor bumps. Then i got a small pimple on my cheek i used this thinking it would kill it right away. It did dried it out but it made it red, and it got really big. Then i used it on my neck to see if it was something else, it made it worst , This pimples got really out of control i really suffered for 2 weeks, i tried to call out from work, felt ashamed to go on public. Bottom line it messes up your skin it makes the pimple bigger and really red black spots are left where is applied . Applied at OWN RISK!! !
try a small part first don't due what i did : (

It is a godsend by Anna in Buffalo, NY on 10/30/08Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Adult Acne, Moderate Acne, Teen Acne Bottom Line: recommended This stuff is amazing. I have suffered with moderate acne around my chin since I was 15. I have tried everything and nothing, to no avail. I finally decided to do some research and came up with using a low strength benzoyl peroxide product over the affected area twice a day. Of course I rushed on to drugstore.com and ordered this because I couldnt find it in any local stores. I smoothed it over my chin area for a few days without noticing any improvement, but no NEW acne. Just a little longer and I was completely clear. I still use this twice a day and I am 25. Would never be without this.
love it by erika203 in oakland,ca on 10/24/08Pros: Easy To Use, Hydrates Skin, Minimizes Pores, Soothing, Works Effectively Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Adult Acne, Moderate Acne Bottom Line: recommended i have used for a long time and it works!
love it! by Candice in Connecticut on 10/23/08Pros: Easy To Use, Soothing, Works Effectively Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Blackheads & Whiteheads, Teen Acne Bottom Line: recommended this is a really good product.
i use it at night in combination with tea tree oil on the pimple and my pimple gets noticeably smaller and goes away by the next day or two.
i also use it in the morning as well. I love how it's creamy and doesn't leave behind a "white" residue on my face. I'm African American so my skin won't be all "flaky" and white from the cream.
Love this stuff! by anonymous in Northeast on 10/16/08Pros: Easy To Use, Minimizes Pores, Works Effectively Best Uses: Blackheads & Whiteheads, Inflammatory Acne, Moderate Acne Bottom Line: recommended I have been using this stuff for the past few weeks and I have been zit free!!! I am in my 30's and have been suffering from mod. acne for the past few years. I have been to the derm many times and the prescriptive meds did not work and the 5% Benzoil Peroxide irritated my skin and did not seem to do the trick. I finally found a cure.... cetaphil face wash followed by On The Spot followed by mild moisturizer. My skin does not get irritaed with this product and my skin is noticeably better!!! LOVE IT!!! I should mention after reading the reviews (and after doing much research on my own in this area) that the "On The Spot" name is misleading. This is a preventative product, meaning that once a zit appears there is really not much you can do to make it go away immediately. THis product needs to be used once or twice a day to prevent break outs not to cure the ones that already exist.
Best zit cream I have found. by Jessidoo in Salt Lake City on 9/23/08Pros: Works Effectively Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Moderate Acne Bottom Line: recommended I have used this cream every day for prevention and on the spot when I do get a pimple. If I don't touch the zit and just put this cream on it, it will dry up and be gone in a day or two. It does not dry my sensitive skin out but it clears up the spot quickly. For the price I think this cream is the best.
