| Disappointed by Connie in Suffern, NY on 8/22/08Pros: Easy To Use Cons: Ineffective Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented Bottom Line: not recommended I was looking online for something to clear up these pimples that I've been getting since my Doctor increased the dosage of one of the meds that I take (Lexapro) & added a new med... forget the name but it's for anxiety. I found an ad for this On The Spot treatment.... read all the reviews. People seemed to think it was effective.. more so then not. I gave it a try for several weeks, even took someone's advice that I read in the reviews & put it on my entire face after showering in the morning.
Sorry to say.... it did nothing. No better or worse then using clearasil. Now I just use witch hazel... dab some clearasil on the zits.... even tried toothpaste! That was even more effective as the "On The Spot"....
Oh well.... if it gets worse, a dermatologist will be next.

| Effective by Amy in Silver Spring, MD on 6/28/08Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively Bottom Line: recommended Neutrogena used to make a better product with salicylic acid but discontinued it years ago. I now use this for my occasional adult acne (I'm in my 40's). It works pretty effectively. For the rare cystic acne I get, I have to apply it several times a day for several days, but it does help dry it out. It doesn't dry my skin out or irritate my sensitive skin, which I like. I've suffered with mild acne from ages 11-14 then at 15 my face exploded with acne, it was terrible. I started the Acne.org regimen using this product as my BP and complex 15 as my moisturizer and now I have almost zero acne, I actually get compliments on how nice my skin is. The daily skin care routine is tiring and I wish I just naturally had nice skin, but I don't, so it looks like I will be continuing the routine for the rest of my life unfortunately. I'm just glad I found something that works. I have bacne and I still need to find something to fix that. Too bad this product is so expensive. 4 Stars overall, it is just too pricy... it's worth it, but it could be less expensive. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
 This product only seems ...by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/20/08This product only seems to work on occasion. I used to use it religiously, and it always helped to reduce the size of my pimples. Usually within a day or two the pimples were gone. I recently bought a new tube and to my dismay my pimples did not go away and I was left with discolored skin. I am African-American and subject to hyperpigmentation in the sun and when using products like sunblock. I've never had an acne medication actually leave me with dark spots! I tried it one more night, and the same thing happened. The spots are slowly going away, but if you have even remotely sensitive skin I highly suggest that you spot test the stuff first. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I dont get zits often, maybe 1 ever 2 weeks and this really clears it up quick, but Ive been using it for about 1 and a half weeks. And I havent been getting any breakouts. This is the ONLY thing that keeps my 30's skin clear of all breakouts.I wash my face nightly and let it dry for 10 minutes, apply a thin layer of this over my dry face, and then apply a moisturizer of my choice.If I do this at least 4-5 times a week I get no acne, when previously I was always breaking out.This can cause redness the first weeks you try it, but stick it out if you can.Seriously, it is a miracle product!Just be sure to apply it everywhere to prevent new pimples, not to treat ones already there. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I cannot use the 10% benzoyl peroxide - it makes my eyes swell shut. Because this product is a lower dose it does not cause me any issues at all and does the job. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
