If you use a gentle cleanser first and a moisturizer afterward, you will begin to see results the next day. If you continue to use it for a few months you will not break out (if you do it will not be as bad as it once was and it will clear faster). It makes the acne go away within 3 days and is not over drying. I use it in the morning under my makeup and again at night only if it is really needed. The next day I had a rash and the following day I had red patches all over my face! Of course, I am also taking much better care of my skin these days. I use the Neutrogena spot treatment after I wash my face and apply glycolic acid based toner - and then follow up with lotion. Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment does work. Give it a try. Usage Tip: Apply a thin coat of it directly on zit. Let dry, then apply moisturizer over top of it. (I only use it at night, and it either shrinks the zit so that it doesn't need to be popped or brings it to an easy-to-pop head.) My breakouts are now cleared up within a third of the time, and even though this stuff only works on pimples, not on whiteheads or blackheads, it's still a keeper in my make-up bag. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
