I think this product is great. I used to buy products with 10% benzoyl peroxide because they claimed to have "maximum effectiveness", but they only served to irritate/burn my skin leading to worsened acne (inflamed skin and peeling). 2.5% is gentle on my skin while providing great results. I have sensitive skin, but apply this twice a day (morning and night) in a *thin* film over existing acne and acne-prone areas (forehead, chin, nose), and afterwards use a light moisturizer with SPF, because any amount of bp will dry the skin. I'm very happy with this product. I also use Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Controlling Astringent in the morning - the salicylic acid helps *prevent* acne by clearing pores, while the On-the-Spot's benzoyl peroxide treats existent acne. For me, salicylic acid products alone don't work very well to clear up existent acne. I highly recommend the On-the-Spot treatment.

I've been using this product for a few months now, off and on. I noticed a slight difference in my complexion, but I hate how it leaves a warm sensation that eventually starts to burn. Not only that, but my skin became incredibly dry, and I had to use tons of lotion everyday to get it back to normal again, and now my acne is worse than ever. I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone with severe or 'in the middle' breakouts, but for those who only get one or two pimples at a time, then it's pretty good. I wouldn't buy this product again though.

I bought this before I used the Neutrogena Clear Pore Nighttime clarifying Gel. It worked great as a "spot acne" fighter as I only had to put a dab wherever I got the occasional breakout. However, it did dry my skin and did not have a "full coverage" effect for the entire face. So, when pregnancy hormones took over and caused major daily acne issues I bought the other product mentioned above and I loved it much better. This is great for a "spot acne" fighter for only occasional acne, but if you have "all-over" facial breakouts then I highly recommend the Neutrogena Clear Pore Nighttime clarifying Gel. I apply it during the day before I put on my makeup. I love it, as I noticed it clearing up my complexion in 3 days and people remarked about my clear skin in just 10 days!

I loved this product when I first purchased it. It worked, literally, within a couple of hours to minimize the "huge loner zit." The problem with this product is that it started to become ineffective after using it a couple of weeks. I'm starting to wonder if the product itself has expired, if so they need to put a expiration date on it. I just considered it useless and ended throwing away a practically full tube of spot cream. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

This product is ok if you don't have severe to extreme acne and are using it to treat an occasional pimple. I myself have severe acne and tried to wean myself off my prescribed bezaclin, since my face had been virtually pimple free for over a year. Well, it didn't last long before I was calling my dermatologist asking him for a refill. I thought since I had been breakout free for so long that it would be ok to switch to a product with the same percentage of benzoyl peroxide; I was very wrong.

I really like this stuff; it's almost as effective as the 10% benzoyl peroxide products but much less drying and not at all irritating to my sensitive skin. Also works as a preventive in trouble spots.

I too got a chemical burn from this product, so my face looks worse than ever with big red blotches where I applied it. Stay away if you have sensitive skin. A low dose of salicylic acid is better.

I like this product. It isn't a miracle product but it does work. I have hormonal acne, and this gives me a good fight against the worst of the worst cystic acne. Make sure to let it soak into the spots you want it and let it dry fully before applying anything else to your face.

This product claims to not dry your skin-and it does not; it burns it! I woke up the next morning with a chemical burn in a circular shape around where I had a break out. The blemish went away in the usual course of time and for the next few days I had to wear makeup to cover up the burn on my face. I am very disappointed with this product and would recommend putting in an inconspicuous place first (although the face is more sensitive than other places on the body).

This product wasn't so good; it didn't treat my pimples or cover them up. I put it on my pimples and it didn't cover, it just made my skin peel off. I would not buy this product ever again!
