This is probably the ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/2/04This is probably the worst product to have ever touched my skin. I have tough, oily skin with mild acne now and then, so I decided to give this a try. What a mistake--within the first few washings, my skin was in utter torment. Around my nose, my skin flaked and almost cracked and bled. Plus it smells really weird, and if you so much as breathe while applying it, you'll get this nasty lingering chemical sensation back in your sinuses. I usually really like Neutrogena, but this is awful.
This product nearly ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/29/04This product nearly ruined my face! I tried it for about a week, hoping for the effective, gentle treatment it promises. However, my face looked horrible. The texture became very rough, red, and flaky. Plus, not only did it not get rid of the acne I had, but also it caused these huge acne cysts like nothing I had ever experienced before. I generally love Neutrogena products, but this wasn't for me. My skin went back to normal within days of stopping the use of this. I will continue to be a Neutrogena customer, just not for their face wash!
This product was a ... by Stacy in Undisclosed on 7/27/04This product was a Godsend. As you can see from the other reviews, it may not be for everybody. Since its main active ingredient is salicylic acid, only people with very oily skin should use it. When you first start using it you might have a sudden breakout because the cleanser is bringing all of the dirt and oil in your pores to the surface of your skin. But don't get discouraged! Make sure you continue to use it TWICE a day and you should see great results after two months. I have used it for 3 years now and have completely clear skin.
I tried this product and ... by Julia in Undisclosed on 6/24/04I tried this product and it did clear up my skin, however it also left it feeling dry and tight. I do not have dry skin, but it even made it begin to peel! If you have extremely oily skin this may work for you, but for me the dryness and peeling are not worth it.
When I first used this ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/22/04When I first used this product, it lessened the acne on my face. It also dried out my face. After awhile, I started to have whiteheads and blackheads again. I think Neutrogena brand is best for people who only have very mild acne.
Finally a product that ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/23/04Finally a product that has been so incredible with my sensitive skin! I have used so many cleansers to try and fight acne and blemishes. Just as I was about to give up with my acne and bad complexion, my girlfriend suggested this product to use and boy do I love her even more now! This cleanser is not abrasive, is light, and works into a great smooth lather. Goodbye Stridex Foaming Facial Wash, goodbye Biore Foaming Wash (very abrasive product), goodbye hundreds of products that couldn't perform the job. My skin looks FREAKING GREAT!
This is the worst ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/4/04This is the worst cleanser I've encountered. It scarred my very delicate, sensitive, mildly blemished teen skin and left my face flaky and worse than it's ever been. Both Aveeno and Biore delivered more comfortable results.
This product is awful. It ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/17/04This product is awful. It made my skin so oily that I could literally wipe the oil off my face and the napkin would be left wet. It was gross. It also made me break out all over my forehead...terrible!
I bought this product and ... by Christina in Undisclosed on 3/1/04I bought this product and used it for about a week. My skin is oily, but not drastically oily and only a while after washing my face with this product, my face became oily again. It smells pretty bad and if I used it even twice a day, my skin would really dry up. I continued to see more acne even after using it. I recommend Phisoderm Acne Face Wash. It doesn't dry up the skin as much, and takes the redness away from pimples as well as prevent new ones.
This product was ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/16/04This product was recommended by a Dermatologist. I have been using it for the past 5+ years and have no complaints. Have been breakout free for almost 3 years now!
