I've been using this product for about two months now and my acne has not improved. I still have the same amount of acne. It dries out my skin while leaving it uncomfortably tight. I dont recommend this product. Salicylic Acid is very strong and I dont recommend it for people who have sensitive skin!

Pros: Leaves Clean Feel
Cons: Dries Out Skin, Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer

It started out okay for like the first 2 uses but then it dried out my skin horribly and made it red and flaky. Although it cleared up some of my acne it left me with new breakouts from the iritation. Last night i chucked in the trash and now i use cetaphil again which worked great in the past and still does. :)

by Brynn[Verified Reviewer] in NJ on 6/5/09

Best Uses: Adult Acne

Honestly, I have tried "many" products like many of you. About a year ago, I decided to cure my own face since too many derms did not do the job. Long story short, I tried this after trying several BP products...this has cleared my up my acne tremendously. Two coworkers have tried it recently and stated that it helped too. I would say try it because it is inexpensive, if not give it away with everything else that has not worked...good luck acne sufferers. I understand!!!
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 128 customer reviews.dont waste your money

Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Burns skin terribly, Dries Out Skin, Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Moderate Acne, Teen Acne
Bottom Line: not recommended
this product did not impress me at all, in fact it even BURNED my skin. literally. my face got sooo red and irrated it looked like ive been sitting out in the sun for 2 weeks striaght and got a massive sun burn. worse yet, after this whole burning thing finally stopped, i started to PEEL. it was horrible. stupidly enough, i used this product a 2nd time just for spot treatments. i must have gotten some on the one side of my face, because now its all red itchy and burnt again. bottom line, stay away from this product and dont waste your money.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 128 customer reviews.Best Acne Wash out there!
by Lauren¿[Verified Reviewer] in CA on 4/19/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Gets rid of acne, Works Effectively
Cons: Dries Out Skin, Unpleasant Smell
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: Moderate Acne, Teen Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
I was optimistic about this. It looked really gross, and the smell wasn't the best, but my friend recommended it. I've tried Proactiv, and aveeno, but whenever I use this, my blemishes disappear in days! This has a drying affect, but with regular toner and moisturizer, you will have amazing skin.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment rates 3 out of 5 stars, from 128 customer reviews. Was ok, but given up on acne cleaners
by Chicago[Verified Reviewer] in IL on 2/10/09
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Ineffective
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: not recommended
I have given up on cleaners that say they fight acne. I just don't think there is enough acne medicine in the product to do any good. My dermatologist has me use a gentle cleanser, like Olay foaming face wash for sensitive skin, then use a prescription acne cream. I am 32 and use BenzaClin - its the best acne cream I have used as I only have moderate acne and want to have clean pores.
