Amazing stuff! I've suffered bumps on the backs of my arms since childhood, a harmless but persistent condition known as "keratosis pilaris," where the skin pores inexplicably clog with keratin. Dermatologists recommend exfoliation and moisturizing to help keep w/ the condition but there's no known cure... I've been using shower buff puffs and & slathering on Retinol-based lotions for years to keep it under control but it never totally went away till I tried Bio Oil.
As an experiment, I used Bio Oil on one arm & a cheaper, soy-based "soothing" oil on the other. Within two weeks, I noticed patches on my Bio Oil arm where there were no bumps. By the end of the month, my Bio Oil arm was totally bump-free! Now I use it on both arms, and for the first time in my life I don't have any annoying "skin texture" bumming me out.
Yay Bio Oil!! I also have very dry skin on my shins, if you look close the skin looks cracked & flaky all winter but not now! Bio Oil keeps my legs smooth & soft. Not oily at all, for an oil that's surprising. I love, love this stuff.

I have been using Bio-oil for over a month. It is reducing the brown spots on my hands and appears to be reducing the appearance of a very old scar on my arm. I'm not expecting a miracle on the scar as I have used many scar products with little or no effect on it. At first it feels greasy, but the skin quickly absorbs the oil. It leaves a soft, silky feeling on the skin. The price is good. Similar products would be two to three times the cost of Bio Oil.
I started using this on my hands for age spots (not effective--try Palmer's) and rough texture on my hands. Improved the texture of my hands, so I started using it on my face and that improved as well.
I gave a bottle to my daughter (22) to use on her stretch marks (the "baby" is now 2) and she reported immediate improvement.

I was in an accident and needed to have stitches on my forehead, which has left me with a 1" long red scar above my eye. I have tried everything from Mederma, to the silicone scar treatments, chemical peels, etc. Nothing has really worked. A friend of mine recommended Bio Oil as she said it worked great for her stretch marks. So I decided to try it.
I normally have pretty flawless skin, never breakout, and never really had to wear much makeup until now to cover up my scar. After 1 week of using Bio Oil, my face looks like a teenager suffering from acne. Bio Oil is very greasy, and the smell is very strong. It doesn't seem to absorb into your skin at all. I didn't expect to see miraculous results on my scar after a week of use, but I'm not going to continue using it. It's basically like baby oil, and I wouldn't put baby oil on my face either.

I was in a motorcycle accident almost a year ago now, and tore open the inside of my knee down to the bone. The ER doctors did not do a very good job stitching me up. I had 20 internal and 15 external stitches. I started using Bio Oil, twice a day, just a couple weeks after the accident and I have been pleasantly surprised at how effective this seemingly-simple product has been. I have been putting it all over my body because it makes my skin so soft and evenly toned. The only faults in this product are: the price, but it's so worth it; it takes quite a while to see a difference, but using it religiously speeds up the process; and, although it doesn't bother me, some people don't like how it makes their skin kind of oily when they first put it on.
This product does not work. Since most of the reviews were godd, I decided to be patient and continue to use this hoping to see some improvement. I am on my third bottle and have not seen any results. The great reviews must be sritten by the company that makes it.
it only works like oil, like olive oil, do not see the result after use the whole bottle so very disappointed

I have normal to oily combination skin. Never had I experienced any allergic reaction to any skin care products, expensive brand names or budget brands. However, after I used this product, I had massive skin rashes on virtually everywhere I put this oil on (the whole body). It took me a while to figure out this Bio-Oil was the culprit. After the rashes subsided after two weeks, I used this Bio Oil a little bit on my pinky toe, and my foot flared up again the next day! If it works for you, it's fine. But I was fooled by its "hyopsensitive" claims, make sure you test on a small patch of your skin first before use.
It is recommended that this product be applied twice daily for a minimum of 3 months. It should be massaged in a circular motion until fully absorbed. During pregnancy, this product should be applied from the start of the second trimester to areas that are prone to stretch marks such as the abdomen, breasts, lower back, buttocks, hips and thighs.
Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
