I've been looking for something like this for a long time. It's soft and smooth but not too greasy, unlike other products that are dry, hard, or won't rub on. Even though it's soft on the lips, it doesn't break easily at all. It's a delight! It also smells really nice; I've tried the vanilla, cherry, and strawberry and love them all. As for long-lasting, I happen to grab breakfast often after I just put it on, so I can't say much about that, although it IS very effective against dry weather. One thing that I couldn't tell from the picture is that they are really skinny; more skinny than many similar products. It certainly made it easier to carry, and it does feel special in your hands. It's not necessary a pro or con, it can go either way.

Good for everyday use even over regular lipstick,

I started using Softlips while I was living in Scottsdale, Az. The dry weather of the desert was brutal when I would hike a mountain trail two or three times a week, at a distance of 3 1/2 miles round trip. No other product gave me the protection I needed on 100% days, or left my lips as supple as Softlips. Forget the rest, Softlips is the best.

My son gave me this for Christmas last year and I liked it so much I was went searching for it and found it here. I was so happy to see it on sale. I bought two and am going to buy more for gifts. They make great gifts!!

i keep a tube of softlips in almost every room in the house and one in the car, too. i use it alone or over lipstick to add extra shine. not thick or sticky like other brands. i gave a tube (tied with pink ribbon) to every guest at a baby shower i hosted. everyone raved about it. nice practical gift!

I love the flavor, smoothness, tube, and the mild cooling feeling, plus the SPF is useful when I go swimming. However, this isn't the most long lasting and needs to be reapplied often in order to keep lips coated.

First of all, I have very large lips and I have not found the small, convienient size of the tube disadvantagous. I do go through it quickly, but that is because I use it frequently. It has a great smell and taste and is not goopy or waxy. I wouldn't even call it oily. It goes on VERY smooth and is perfect as a base for lipstick. Even when I don't have it on, my lips are much softer and moisturized from frequent use then ever were before. The sunscreen is an added bonus. Even my boyfriend uses and loves it. I keep one with me everywhere...in my purse, my coat pocket, my car, by my bed and I use it religiously. I love the vanilla. I have found with most flavored chapsticks that something in the flavor makes my lips burn on occasion and makes my throat sore. This one does not. It's a very soothing taste and smell. I have also never had this chapstick try to goop into the corners of my mouth, (disgusting.) All in all, VERY happy with this product and I will continue to buy it, as my boyfriend continues to steal and lose mine. =)

I like the fact it's not sticky and it's effective. It does not add shine but it's very comfortable and the taste of vanilla is mild. I'ts really my favorite.

The product is only okay--doesn't taste/smell great & the tube is too thin. Other products work far better than this, such as Alba, Yes to Carrots, Nivea.

It didn't last all that long, especially compared to Carmex, Chapstick or even Burt's Bees stuff. It might smell good, but if your lips are wider than pencil tips, prepare to go through it quickly.
