I have used Purpose for many years upon dermatologist recommendation. It is extremely gentle and washes my skin without any harsh or abrasive products. Ever since I have used, I have received compliments on my skin, and I tell everyone this gentle and inexpensive cleanser is all I use! Wouldn't live without it!

I buy Johnson and Johnson products a lot. After looking at these reviews, I went to my local grocery store to pick up a bottle. When I used it tonight, I recognized the smell immediately - Johnson and Johnson Head to Toe Baby Wash. Sure enough, I compared the ingredients and they're nearly identical. I think 1 or 2 ingredients are different. So, you're getting 6 ounces for two dollars or so more than the 15 ounce bottle of the baby wash! I'll continue to use the baby wash, it's great, but it's pointless to spend extra money on a nearly identical product!

I have tried so many facial cleansers over the years; department-store brands (high-end), and Drugstore brands, and I have to say that Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash is by far, the BEST facial cleanser out there! It's SO gentle, yet removes ALL my make-up (even mascara), without any irritation or residue left behind. I have sensitive/oily-combination skin and this cleanser makes my skin feel so clean and refreshed; and I have had NO breakouts. I also use Purpose oil-free moisturizer, which has a 15 SPF, which is fabulous!! Love these products!

I have used this product for over 10 years probably. It was first recommended to me by my dermatologist when I was a teenager. I love this cleanser. It is effective, gentle, and most importantly does not cause breakouts. I have oily skin that is acne prone and very sensitive. I have used other products, like Cetaphil or Neutrogena, but I always come back to this one. I hope it's never discontinued! I'll be a consumer for life.

This cleanser has a mild scent and is really efficient in cleansing without drying out my "aging" skin. Doesn't sting my senistive eyes when washing off my eye makeup.

Wet hands and face. Mixing cleanser with water, work into a creamy lather. Cleanse face with gentle massaging motion. Rinse thoroughly. The product is effective yet gentle and cleanses without drying or irritating.

I thought this cleanser would be really gentle like it advertises, but it dried out parts of my face. I do use benzoyl peroxide to control my acne so I think if you don't use a drying acne treatment this cleanser will work for you. I did like how well this cleanser lathered and removed all my make up.

I can use this wash in the gel or bar form on all areas of my skin. It does not burn my eyes, so it is ideal for cleaning the edges of eyelids, yet it leaves my face feeling very clean but not dry.
