Burt's Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 28 customer reviews.Best diaper cream ever
by Katie[Verified Reviewer] in Chicago, IL on 2/19/09
Pros: Effective, Good value, Long-lasting
Cons: Strong smell
Describe Yourself: First Time Parent, Medical Professional
Best Uses: Infants, Toddlers
Bottom Line: recommended
Awesome diaper paste. Stays on through the night and works like a charm. Any redness or chafing disappears overnight! The rosemary oil kinda makes your baby's butt smell like breakfast sausage, but its a small price to pay. (My son has never had genuine diaper rash -- just occasional redness -- so I can't speak for how well it works on more seious cases)

by J&S Mommy[Verified Reviewer] in Elkridge, MD on 12/28/08
Pros: Works
Cons: Cost for size, Strong smell
Describe Yourself: Parent of Two or More Children
Best Uses: Infants, Toddlers
Bottom Line: not recommended
This product has a good consistency and staying power which other diaper creams lack. The smell, however, is over-powering and I was worried that it would burn a raw bottom since it smells heavily mentholated. The product worked well and there was no screams of pain (thank god). I doubt I will purchase again due to the strong smell and the high price for the size.

by First time Mom[Verified Reviewer] in Illinois on 11/2/08
Describe Yourself: First Time Parent
Best Uses: Hygiene, Infants, Preemies, Toddlers

Didn't clear up my baby's diaper rash. I had to purchase a non-organic popular brand, which worked almost overnight. I would not buy this again even though it is mild.

by Katie's Mommy[Verified Buyer] in Kansas City, MO on 10/26/08
Pros: Dr Recommended, Nice Smell, Non-Toxic, Works Great
Describe Yourself: Child Care Professional, First Time Parent
Best Uses: First Aid, Hygiene, Infants, Toddlers
Bottom Line: recommended
I started using this cream when my daughter got her first yeast infection which required us to take her to the Dr. We used this and a low dose of the same medicine they use for adult yeast infections. It cleared up right away. Since then I've started applying this at the first sign of any diaper irritation and it works wonders! My daughter likes it (She'll be crying because she's sore and when I put the cream on she'll become happy almost instantly, I assume because it's soothing). The smell is very pleasant, as with all the other Burts Bees Baby Bee products.
Burt's Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 28 customer reviews. My favorite daiper rash ointment.
by Angie[Verified Reviewer] in Chehalis, WA on 7/22/08
Pros: Convenient Use, Easy To Clean, Portable, Sturdy Construction
Describe Yourself: Parent of Two or More Children
Best Uses: First Aid, Hygiene, Infants, Toddlers
Bottom Line: recommended
Thankfully I didn't have to deal with many diaper rashes when my boys were babies, but this always cleared them up within a day. It was thick enough that it stuck to their bottoms while in a diaper, but it also wiped off easily with a baby wipe or in the bath. It was also easy to clean off of my fingers, which I appreciated. I really liked the smell of it too. Now I give it to friends and family as part of their shower gifts when they're expecting.

Pros: Convenient Use, Great scent, Nice thick consistency
Describe Yourself: Parent of Two or More Children
Best Uses: Infants
Bottom Line: recommended
Love the scent! Protects throughout the night and doesn't fade away into the diaper but rather stays put on the baby's bottom. You only need a little because a dab gives a lot of protection.

There are no harsh ingredients in this product (no paba's no alcohol...). It has been great to use for adults with incontinence (my 84-year old mother). The best smelling diaper cream with zinc that we tried. Her nursing aides love it too.

by Jennifer[Verified Reviewer] in Knoxville, TN on 4/30/08
I agree with the reviewer who would buy an econo-tub of this stuff; it's the only product that works on my 15-month old's diaper rash. I've tried every other OTC diaper ointment on the market and this one works the best for us. The scent is very minty-fresh. My only complaint (which is an engineering/design issue unrelated to the efficacy of the product) is that when you get to the bottom of the tube it's difficult to squeeze every drop of cream out. Highly recommend.

by Wendy[Verified Reviewer] in Anchorage, AK on 4/4/08
I have friends who use this and love it, so I tried it on my 10 week old and she ended up with an angry red/bleeding diaper rash in 4 diaper changes. I was not fond of the smell either, smelled like pine to me. I could have gotten over the smell if it worked though. I called the Burts Bees Company and they said this product has 40% Zinc Oxide which I prefer in a diaper cream. My baby has sensitive skin and is only breastfed, so her stools are loose which may be part of the reason she gets a diaper rash so easy.
